The house is very nicely restored with modern facilities, while keeping an old touch. The room was very clean and had everything we needed. The owner was also very friendly and check-in and -out was super easy. It is at the heart of Sainte-Mère-Église with lots of parking spaces around. It's location makes it ideal to visit the D-day landing beaches and museums in the town and the region.

The location of the apartment was in the centre of Sainte-Mere-Eglise only minutes walk from the town square, local shops, restaurants and bars. The town is small and easy to walk around. The major tourist attractions are all only a few minutes walk from the apartment. There is free on street parking outside the apartment, but not always available. The town square has plenty of free parking and is only a few minutes walk away. I had considered this might be an issue when I booked, but it turned out to be simple. The apartment has a good kitchenette, dining area & sitting room, which doubles as a bedroom if you choose to use the sofa bed. There is a separate bedroom with comfortable double bed. This room has a window with exterior roller shutter which is electrically operated and can be closed to make the room dark, which is ideal for those that want to sleep longer. The bathroom is small but functional with shower cubicle. It was well decorated and clean. For two people, the apartment is an ideal size.

The location is perfect for visiting the town, you’re right in the middle of it. There’s off road parking too which is great because most would travel here by car. Plenty of beds and places to sleep and very clean.

Sainte-Mère-Église IS A VERY NICE TOWN. THE MUSEUMS IN THE AREA ARE OUTSTANDING. PLAN ON ONE DAY PER MUSEUM; THERE MUST BE AT LEAST 8 WELL-DONE MUSEUMS, EACH OFFERING A DIFFERENT PERSPECTIVE. THE FALIASE GAP MUSEUM IS WELL WORTH THE EXTRA DRIVING TIME. THE UTAH BEACH MUSEUM IS INDEED RIGHT ON THE BEACH. ARROMANCHE MUSEUM IS AN EASY DRIVE FROM Sainte-Mère-Église. It is a small town with a focus on its liberation by the US...

It is a small town with a focus on its liberation by the US during World War II. It is pretty to walk around and has a nice park to sit and watch the world go by. It has most shops for everyday living; food shops, chemist, bakery, clothes and plenty of restaurants and coffee houses. It has a weekly Farmers Market with fresh local produce. The people and are very friendly and helpful.

Quite honestly, I was drawn to Saint Mere Eglise because it was the station point for a D-Day tour my dad and I had booked. I had no clue the charm and history of this little town! The food was great everywhere we went, the museum was incredible, the people were so, so kind, the list goes on! This is definitely a hidden gem of Normandy. We visited Utah Beach on our tour, and it was packed tight with tourists. After hearing other people's experiences in Normandy, I was so glad we stayed in such a quaint town. 11/10 -- exceeded our expectations.

I was unaware when booking the room that this town played a major part in the history of the D-Day landings. The American Airborne museum is in the heart of the town and it’s a stones throw from Utah beach and the Azeville Battery. Perfect start for a tour of the beaches.

Pretty little town close to many WW2 sites of interest. Visited Utah Beach and the Airborne Museum. Also took time to visit a German War Cemetery at la Cambe - very different to the British, American and Canadian ones. Not far from Cherbourg either if you are catching a ferry.

I liked the location.

I liked the location. Walking around the town was enjoyable with lots of choices of restaurants. I sat out on the patio and it was very peaceful. The location was excellent- close to the D Day beaches.

Location was excellent just a 2 min walk from the main square. Plenty of parking spaces. The rooms were basic but very clean & well-presented. The option to dine outside is wonderful when the weather is on your side. As for the food, simply outstanding - by far the best I have ever had on a holiday. This was a unanimous decision by all 4 of us. The owners are very friendly & made us feel genuinely welcome & valused customers. I have no hesitation in recommending this lovely hotel.

A lovely hotel situated very close to the main square. The room my son and I had was very comfortable and had all the usual facilities. The breakfast was excellent and the owner was very friendly and spoke excellent English, if I was travelling to Sainte-Mere-Eglise again I would certainly stay there. We visited the Airborne Museum the next day which was excellent and a 'must see' if you are in the area
