Lovely maison d'hôte (b&b) in the country, with a vegetable garden and swimming pool. We appreciated the (optional) dinner in the garden as well as the breakfast in the dining room.

Great place and fantastic value for money. The owner is a great guy, even if your french isn't brilliant he will understand enough. Bed was huge and rooms were really well appointed, fridge, hairdryer etc. Pool is clean and good size, with free parking directly opposite.Would 100% recommend this place as an overnight stop or longer, we stayed for 3 nights. Continental breakfast was more than adequate.

We had an excellent stay at La Fauconnière. The room was spotlessly clean, every little detail was thought through, everything we needed could be found in the room. There is enough room for children to play outside. Amazing breakfast was served in the morning. Highly recommend this place.

The Maison du Potager de Mazières is exceptional. Not too far from Bourges. Information on good restaurants nearby would have been helpful, as it's not easy to find a good restaurant in the center of Bourges on a Saturday night without a reservation. There are very few restaurants in the historic center.
