Excellent in all aspects! Staff at the front desk were so helpful and polite! The rooms are not just beautiful and playful but practical and super comfortable! The bed is very big and comfortable so is the shower and bathroom. The restaurant is a must when you stay here and so is the roof bar! We didn't choose to have breakfast here, but the dinner was 10/10! The location of the hotel is perfect, walking distance to everything, close to train stations and surrounded by an area full of amazing restaurants, cafés, supermarkets, shops and it is safe to explore. Cleanliness is perfect from the sheets to the towels and squeaky clean bathroom. Last but not least, the design and quality of this hotel is just unique and makes the experience of staying somewhere besides your home a special highlight! Playful, fun, cheeky, and executed perfectly! Extra points from us go to the environmentally friendly ethos of the hotel if you are someone who cares. Also, they offered to safely store our luggage until it was time for our flight. You pay good money, but it is worth every penny!

France’s 4th largest city, Toulouse abounds with beautiful red-brick buildings that have earned it the nickname Pink City. The focal point is Place du Capitole, a large square lined by restaurants and the grand Capitole building which is spectacularly lit at night. Equally impressive at night is the Pont-Neuf, a 16th-century bridge spanning the Garonne River.

This remarkably green city has many tree-lined boulevards and parks offering shade. It has a laidback, almost alternative vibe, perhaps due to its huge student population. The cuisine is also fantastic – try the regional duck and the cassoulet.

Must-see Toulouse sights include the UNESCO World Heritage-listed, 10th-century Basilica of Saint Sernin and the Georges Labit Museum, a fascinating collection of Asian and Egyptian artefacts. Record-breaking Stade Toulousain rugby union club is also based here – catch a match to experience the Gallic passion.

Out by Lasbordes Airport is Cité de l’Espace, a space-themed amusement park, particularly suited to young children. Another aviation-related feature is the city’s main industry - the Airbus-EADS factory, just north of Toulouse Blagnac Airport.     The once beautiful city of Toulouse, capital of the South...

    The once beautiful city of Toulouse, capital of the South West of France, is sadly no longer what it was. The whole place feels run down, dirty and the glory it once had has more than merely faded. There are plenty of visitors but the Place du Capitole, the centrepiece of the city, is was obscured by market stalls and somewhat overpriced, touristy restaurants. Parts of the city are not pleasant to be in and I would definitely not recommend a woman travelling there alone. It's still a beautiful place but it needs a damn good clean and proper policing.

    Our first time Toulouse and we were not disappointed.

    Our first time Toulouse and we were not disappointed. Fantastic friendly people, great choices to eat and drink. Lots of shops and a wonderful relaxed vibe. We were only there for two nights on our trip around France but what a lovely two nights we had. Merci beaucoup Toulouse.

    Toulouse is a welcoming city.

    Toulouse is a welcoming city. I found it a relaxing place with enough to see and enjoy without any pressure.Good metro to get around but plenty to see by walking. Spoilt for restaurant choices from the busy one's to the smaller quieter one's all providing good meals and good wine. The Garonne river walks and boat ride provide the easy time away from the busy central area The Pink City is worth a visit.

    Toulouse has a very happy vibe.

    Toulouse has a very happy vibe. Not only is it a proper working city where real people actually live, everyone we spoke to says that they are really happy living here compared with other cities in France. There's probably not a ton of stuff to do for days and days but as a place to explore and get to know for a while and as a gateway to the Aveyron, it is absolutely ideal.

    Toulouse is a beautiful city.

    Toulouse is a beautiful city. There is a lot of history to it and a lot of beautiful things to visit. We were only there for just 2 days on our way to Dordogne. We went on the city bus to have an idea of the town and it certainly opened our appetite to see more. It was incredibly busy. We were there when people were stopping on their way back home after the summer holiday. It was also full of students and their families. Probably settling into their halls of residence. Toulouse is also known for their great universities. The food is delicious in Toulouse. Go to the main square "Capitole" and you will see lost of restaurants on and around this beautiful place.

    We stayed in the Grand Hotel de l’Opera which right by the Place du Capitole, great location for exploring the city by foot. Lovely pedestrian square with numerous restaurants and bars, would highly recommend La Bibent for dinner.

    The pictures of the hotel and the rooms matched the reality of the accommodation. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly and the late arrival instructions were easy to follow. All three apartments booked for our group were clean, well equipped and our beds were comfortable. The hotel was quiet and the city centre, train station and canal were all within 10 minutes walk and the airport around 20 minutes by taxi. Toulouse is a great city and easy to get around. I have recommended the hotel and the city to friends and family.

    The aparthotel was great. Excerllent location, easy to get to the center and to the airport. Best choice for a short stay in Toulouse, room was comfortable, clean and soundproofed. Beds were comfortable. Many great sightseeing location within walking distance. Easy to reach the Capitol. We felt very safe around the area. We would definetly choose for a short stay, very easy to get to the airport and the hotel offer a free airport shuttle service which was excellent and prompt. We would definetly love to return.
