We had an incredible stay at Domaine Alba Scelta in the spacious and comfortable tent with an amazing views of the Corsican mountains. Just a short walk away, we found a lovely river with a small beach, perfect for a refreshing swim on those hot days. Our kids were absolutely thrilled to see the farm animals wandering around freely - pigs, goats, cows, and horses! It was such a joy for them to interact with these friendly creatures. Even though our French was pretty limited, the owners went above and beyond to communicate with us using various translation tools, which made everything feel super welcoming. Plus, there’s an outdoor restaurant on the property where the owners whip up some seriously delicious food. We spent three amazing days here, and it was the perfect way to wrap up our unforgettable Corsican vacation!

The host/owner Phillipe is a very friendly and helpful guy. He took me around and showed me everything, including the swimming holes. The apartment was super nice and very comfortable. All new appliances and a very nice shower. The apartment even had a small washer which was very nice. There's a really good bakery less than 100 meters away and an outstanding restaurant less than 200 meters away. They make a cheeseburger there that tastes better than 99 percent of the US. The town is very small but it's a beautiful place with the backdrop of mountains and Douglass Fir forest. Crystal clear mountain river to swim in just down the road. I would definitely stay at Phillipe's B&B again!!

We loved this quiet spacious home in the middle of nowhere. Christelle greeted us kindly, showed us our large, spotless room and kept the conversation flowing all evening. A delicious smell of cooking when we arrived and lots of home ingredients. Super breakfast, a sunny/shady patio, a stroll to see pigs and horses and a silent night. Perfect.

Beautiful spot, excellent rural, tasty and filling food, lovely personell. The rooms are gorgeous and old fashioned in the most comfortable way. There’s plenty to do for the outdoorsy, if you have a car it’s convenient as some of the hikes start a bit away from the village.

Lovely peaceful, serene, picturesque setting but also close to train station, river and a short drive to amenities. Nadine was very welcoming and always checked that we were stocked up. Also informative of the local area and she makes a lovely limoncello. Would definately recommend especially if you are a different type of tourist to the drunk, loud, boisterous type.

good location for a base for hiking in central Corsica; for the car-less, there is a trainstation in the village, so going in the direction of Ajaccio or of Corte (and further) is easy; for the car-enabled, it's close to the main road between Ajaccio and Vizzavona pass, making it easy to access walks around Vizzavona (including Monte d'Oro), Corte (including Restonica) and doubtlessly many more; the nearest Spar is 16 km away; there are three places to eat in the village, although not opened daily; personal tip - take a train from Ucciani to Vizzavona, hike up to Cascades des Anglais, across Col de Vizzavona (kiosk) and follow the trail through Bocognano (restaurants) and Tavera to Ucciani ... 30-odd kilometers of a really nice hike
