We just stayed over the night while on our transit from Carpentras to Milano. The place was easy to find. It was out of season, so the reception didn't operate full time - nonetheless they arranged everything for a smooth check in. The room was clean and cosy, the breakfast was nice.

Excellent location, the staff were very nice and friendly, it was a pleasure to stay here. We stayed two nights and dined in the restaurant both nights and all the food was delicious.

We arrived quite late and the proprietor very kindly got us the last table for dinner seemingly in the whole town. There is no restaurant in the property itself (although they do a decent breakfast) - there is a very pleasant bar with a very friendly mountain dog. The room itself was very clean and the furnishings comfortable and appropriate to the price.

Fabulous apartment, much nicer than we'd expected. Very well equipped, great shower, comfortable bed, great location near the station. A very welcome slice of comfort after hiking for two weeks in the Vanoise. Also, exceptionally kind host - great communication, easy check-in, and stored small luggage for us while we walked at no extra charge. Would highly recommend!

A pleasant little resort in summer, as it stays quite cool...

A pleasant little resort in summer, as it stays quite cool on hot days thanks to its sunny aspect. It's very green, with nearby hiking trails and a cheese shop just a few kilometers away. Not far from Modane train station, accessible by shuttle bus or on foot (with a bit of stamina and if you're carrying a backpack and have limited mobility!).

For dining, I recommend Le Moulin des Bergers.

For dining, I recommend Le Moulin des Bergers. As for the ski area, it's very basic and far too reliant on a single lift! Parking is easy to find, the village is pedestrianized but doesn't have much in the way of shops. It was my first time here, and it will also be my last.

Small resort in the sun. Lack of slopes for advanced skiers. Lift pass to La Norma included, but the resort is in the shade. With three times more slopes than Valfréjus, but also a 25-minute drive… the snow wasn't great during our week. Icy white or melting at the bottom of the resort.

The resort is quite small, both the centre and the slopes; you can quickly see everything, but the lift passes are included for 2 resorts and a shuttle bus runs to take you to the other side of the mountain, to La Norma.

The Valfréjus resort is human-scale and boasts a fairly uniform architecture that perfectly captures the Savoyard spirit. The resort is peaceful, and the local shops cater to most needs. On-site or nearby, numerous outdoor activities are available to satisfy all ages and abilities, from the athletic to the less active.

Right in the center of Valfréjus, 2 steps away from all the restaurants and local food stores. Large hotel dedicated to ski holidays, but it works well for hiking holidays in summer. Good buffet for breakfast. Nice staff at check-in.

Excellent apartment, everything we need for our family ski 🎿 holiday. The apartment is right in the middle of Valfrejus village so quick and easy access to the ski school, gondola 🚠and shops.
