Annalong has a quaint harbour with a mill owned by the National Trust. It does smell a bit in the Summer. It has all the basics you need for holiday making, and it sits in some of Northern Ireland's greatest scenery. The Gallery is convenient and not too costly for meals. The Eurospar has petrol and all you need for stocking your larder. In season, there is an Ice Cream Parlour and Coffee Shop. A drive up Major's Hill to the Head Road, down past the Silent Valley out to Spelga Dam and on down into Rostrevor is a spectacular mountain drive. If you turn right in Rostrevor for Warrenpoint, then park near the Square and visit The Diamond Restaurant - you will not be disappointed in your meal!

Lovely seaside town with friendly people.

Lovely seaside town with friendly people. A great base for exploring the Mourne mountains. The town has a lovely pizzeria and a good takeaway but the one thing it is missing is a pub. It's a real shame because it would be a lovely place to sit out with a pint on a nice evening.

Annalong is a lovely spot near to the Mourne mountains and by the coast. There are paths along the coast to walk which show you the beauty of the coastline. The locals are so friendly and stop to chat and give you information. You are well placed also for vistiting Killkeel,Rostrevor and Newcastle so plenty to see and do.We did the moune scenic loop into the mountains and picnicked at the spelga dam which was glorious in the sunshine. You are also close to Silent Valley which is a lovely place to walk.If you dont want to go too far the harbour is a lovely place to sit and watch the boats come and go.Locally we ate in the Galley which was great and very reasonable and also Villa Vinci in Newcastle which we both love.

Absolutely brilliant time had, we just had to walk out the back gate and down a lane and you were standing in the sea front. Hosts were very quick and helpful if we needed something. Really couldn’t say a bad thing about my stay and will definitely be booking it again!!

The setting on the lower slopes of the southern mournes with the sea in front is stunning. Annalong itself has some good food outlets but we tend to head into Newcastle for meals and enjoy Tollymore, Castlewellan, Murlough, Bloody Bridge but also Silent Valley. Beautiful area and great base to explore from.

Lovely, quiet, harbour hamlet with a few shops. The Spar shop at the main garage was well stocked and the Gather cafe provided excellent breakfast and lunches. Well positioned for exploring the Mountains of Mourne which dominated the outlook.

Great location, in the middle of Newcastle and Annalong and about 10 minute drive to each. Wonderful sea views. Great facilities and the welcome basket was a great touch. Great for families with small children as the home is fully enclosed. Really loved our stay and can't wait to return.

I really loved the location as you can see the sea from the front of the house and mountains at the back. It's a short drive to Newcastle and Annalong, where there is great chippy and a good shop.
