Easy to get to by bus, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was very good, a great place to base yourself for a few days/week as it’s easy to get bus/train and easy to walk into Ballasalla and Castletown

Excellent location and great avenue stores behind the hotel, in the front of the hotel there’s the main promenade with stunning sea view. We enjoyed the bedroom which was very clean and the bed was huge and comfortable beside that the staff was very kind

The Welbeck Hotel gave us an exceptional stay for our Special wedding Anniversary! We had a Beautiful sea view room! , they made us feel very welcome Beautiful food!     did nt do much in ballasalla spent time in douglas castletown port erin & peel The island towns are well connected by bus vannin & also the island has excellent heritage the tramway from douglas to ramsey & railway from douglas to port erin! A trip to the sound for the view & bracing sea air is reccomended

    As a central location for access to local bus routes or car...

    As a central location for access to local bus routes or car hire access it’s great. There is the noise from the airport when it starts it’s day but nothing to disturb a good nights sleep. Ballasalla itself has a local pub and takeaway for local meals. Further north is the capital Douglas or south to the beaches of Port Erin and Port stMary all within 20 minutes drive. To the west up into the hills and Glens to the east Castletown with its own historic castle a town centre wrapped around the harbour . It’s just all so easy.

    Been told by my first visit to reception the hotel had run...

    Been told by my first visit to reception the hotel had run out of food! I have never heard such rubbish… On my last day, I got a full in English breakfast… It was fantastic… The only day I ate anything there! Hi, felt sorry for the manageress… God knows what pressure she has to work under? I felt so pleased for her when she could actually offered me a breakfast. She was a different girl totally, and I felt sorry for her… It was a great breakfast… Bless her…

    The countryside was lovely and the outside of the two barns...

    The countryside was lovely and the outside of the two barns but inside was a disappointment. The 3 bed deluxe was not large enough for a wheelchair user. The bathroom & toilet was down the corridor and the kitchen was shared and not kept clean. Eathing out nearby was poor - only 1 pub with a very limited menu.

    Excellent location to explore island with vehicle. Great parking outside. Clean modern very comfortable bed. Hotel felt very continental with a lovely Manx touch. Very close to Castletown and lovely coastal walks. Superb host. The lady on reception went out of her way to answer questions and provide information. Offered us breakfast for our 5 am departure. Highly recommend this hotel.

    Nice no-frills hotel close to the airport close to the south of the Island and Douglas. Room was comfortable and continental breakfast was as expected. Whilst it's close to the airport, you can't hear the planes outside.
