Nothing to do with the location ..but..the bus from Buchanan...
Nothing to do with the location ..but..the bus from Buchanan bus station dropped us off on the outskirts of Balloch on a very busy duel carriageway..which took ages to cross safely..why don't they terminate in Balloch's own bus station...much safer as we had to walk 15 mins to get to our accomodation in rough tarain... I'd hate to think of elderly people having to endure this ... shocked to be honest...nothing to do will The Tillie Inn..maybe something should be changed to prevent this.as it has put me off getting the bus...Guest review byTownsley - 10.0

Balloch 😀 and loch Lomond is a really nice area with breath taking views of mountain 🏔️ and loch Lomond it's self. The pubs are really good and lively lots holiday makers. Pretty choices of where to eat and what to eat. Ideal for visiting many visitors attractions.
Ideal for visiting many visitors attractions. We stayed for a wedding and we visited Loch Lomond Shores Outlet Village. We went to Cameron House for a refreshment, then had some lunch at The Marina. Balloch is gateway to Loch Lomond day cruises. It has a number of guesthouses, restaurants, retail stores and scenic nature walks. Balloch House in the centre of Balloch offers delicious meals, Sweeney Cruise Company offers informative cruises on the Loch, Balloch Castle grounds are worth a visit but the castle is closed and in disrepair. It's hard to find a good coffee though. The Marina cafe in the grounds of Cameron House is recommended for your coffee fix.Guest review byNormaAustralia - 10.0

The room was well proportioned, clean and ventilated. We were a group of six sharing, but we did not feel too crammed in, and with 2 bathrooms in the room all felt well treated. Great location with a pub across the road, Coop a short 5 minute walk away, and right near the Loch. Easy to get to, and easy to travel from. Balloch was clean and non threatening. Very pleasant. Bathroom was a really good size and had everything we needed. Bed was the comfiest we had in 9 days around Scotland and breakfast was excellent. We were also given a spare set of keys so we could leave and pick up our luggage on the afternoon of checkout.
