Fantastic little cottage, it has so much to offer, a very comfortable condition, from board games and other activities, to a quote night behind the TV and even a PlayStation with brilliant disc games to offer. The facilities were top tier, very well kept in terms of cleanliness and that feeling of a home, decorations were amazing, I love the little posters with Yorkshire phrases.

We had a lovely stay in the Hare and Hounds. The room is charming and has recently been redecorated. It's very tastefully decorated, and the bathroom was very clean and spacious. The pub is also very nice, with a contemporary feel. We enjoyed both dinner and breakfast in the pub, and we found both excellent. Staff is friendly, the service was good, and I would say both accommodation and food are very good value for money. The location is good, with parking at the front. We also found some nice paths to walk our dogs in the surroundings. The dog friendliness is very much appreciated by us dog owners! A big thank you to the team in the Hare and Hounds for their kindness, and warm and welcoming service.

I was born and raised in Barlick, so my opinion is a bit weighted, however, it is 41 years since I last lived there and so I have seen a few changes during this time. Barlick is ideally suited for the Yorkshire Dales (4 mins), Lake District (90 mins) and Leeds Liverpool canal which runs through the town, it is a traditional mill town with lots of stone built terraced houses, some cobbled streets, quirky streets and lots of heritage. The people are really friendly and apart from Aldi and the Co-op there are no chain stores with every business being a family business.

The place is exceptional.

The place is exceptional. The place, its surroundings, the local people all made the stay exceptional. Loads to do and visit, whether you travel with family, children, pets etc...there is something for everyone. A short car journey you have Skipton, Grassington and the Dales. Places to eat & drink, you are spoilt for choice, so just go and enjoy, 100% guarantee you will return.

A lovely, classic Lancashire (Yorkshire) market town, with plenty of things to do, places to eat & drink. The Music & Arts centre always has some excellent bands playing, which was the reason for our visit. The market square, was great, with plenty of open air seating, that allowed you to take your food / drinks from any of the available vendors. We recommend Wax & Taps, a great craft beer bar, with a fantastic menu and a small but surprisingly good selection of vinyl, for sale.

Alma Cliffe was an elegant home away from home.

Alma Cliffe was an elegant home away from home. The house is beautifully decorated & immaculately kept. The hosts were special people asking if there was anything we needed. It was simply "Ask & you shall receive.!" Nothing was too much trouble & it was obvious that our comfort was of the utmost importance. The hosts are a very pleasant couple.

We have stayed her twice and it is a great stopover to visit Barnoldswick. Perfectly situated on a high perch which gives lovely views over the surrounding countryside. The room is en-suite with everything there that you could possibly need or have forgotten. Such a warm and personal touch. My favourite is the wonderful smell of the room with the fresh towels and bedding. Tracey has an amazing place to stay and that’s not even mentioning the tasty breakfast as well which you can order and pay for separately. can’t wait to return!
