Staying in Baslow is a delight, so easy to reach by road, the scenery is heavenly, the little villages quaint and welcoming, Chatsworth Farm Shop is superb - buy the Chatsworth Claret!! It's excellent!! and the salted caramel truffles utterly deelish!! A heart warmingly delightful place to visit, thoroughly recommend. A lovely village with lots of amenities and access to many walks through the glorious Chatsworth estate. We had a lovely family meal at the Wheatsheaf, lovely and very helpful staff, delicious food, and dog friendly. The main road through the village is very busy and we found it extremely difficult getting out of the village especially when wanting to travel in the Chesterfield direction.Guest review byAnonymous - 10.0

This is a lovely Inn in a quiet village, set in the beautiful Derbyshire Countryside, and a short drive, or walk to Chatsworth House. Bin bags for your rubbish, good Wi-Fi, books and games, wood for the fire, looked like sky tv (didn’t need to use), bottles of shampoo and conditioner, even seat pads for the outside picnic bench. Spotlessly clean, and the photos don’t do it justice. Everything we needed was provided and Penny was amazing and so helpful. Close to Chatsworth, can walk there through the beautiful grounds.
