The location is just perfect, you look out on the quay and have a beautiful view. We were lucky to watch Xmas tide out of our window because it was raining. The bedroom is a good size, we loved the chairs by the window. The bedroom was comfy, bathroom was great and the towels were super soft. We also loved the extra touches, like the toiletries, chocolates and apple juice.

We have been visiting and staying in Burnham Market for...

We have been visiting and staying in Burnham Market for years and it does have a certain chic appeal but on the flip side that does mean 'Chelsea on Sea' has the prices to match. Some great places to eat and drink especially Socius & No29. The village is reasonably quite mid week in September but parking on the green isn't so easy to find a space and much much worse during weekends and school holidays. It's very handy location for the surrounding beaches and Holkham Hall plus it's easy enough to cycle the local lanes and get away from the traffic.

Lovely place to visit, not far from the beautiful Norfolk...

Lovely place to visit, not far from the beautiful Norfolk coast and pretty villages all around. A place to unwind, lovely eateries and small independent shops. Surprisingly quiet for time of year July, having said that people must travel for the restaurants for dinner as all were booked up.

Classic Norfolk village steeped in English history. Good clothes shops. Bring a cold bag and make up a picnic from Gurneys fish shop. Missing the mini supermarket and bread shop but then you can’t have everything! The Hero at Overy Staith was excellent as was The Ship at Brancaster.

Burnham Overy Staithe is very peaceful.

Burnham Overy Staithe is very peaceful. Trip on the ferry to Scolt Head Island was excellent and three minutes walk from The Hero pub. Burnham Market Village is lovely . We ate at the Hero - excellent- and also at the Hoste Arms in Burnham Market. Also excellent. French's chip shop at The Quay in Wells was also excellent. Huge portions!

The pub is in Burnham Overy Staithe, on the salt marshes...

The pub is in Burnham Overy Staithe, on the salt marshes near the harbour, lovely for walking and relaxing. The Hero pub is so cosy, with fire in the winter, outside tables with harbour views in dry weather. Lovely blankets provided. Everything is very geared to the visitor and their doggy friends. Burnham Market town is 3 miles away lots of lovely individual shops.

Not a large central village area but some nice shops cafes and it is a very picturesque English countryside location. Everything is within easy walking distance. Some shops are on the expensive side. We ate mostly at our Hotel The Hoste which was very nice. The other resturants look good too. Lovely place to visit, quintessentially British.

Very pleased with the location within an easy, level walk into Burnham Market. We were in a room adjacent to the main hotel which we liked because it was comfortable and gave us a bit more freedom. The room was comfortable and the breakfast was lovely. We were made to feel very welcome and enjoyed a nice meal in the hotel at night. Parking was very easy in the hotel's car park. Burnham Market itself is very interesting and well worth a visit.

Excellent location, the house it’s equipped with everything you need, it’s maintained to a high standard and we had good communication with the hosts. It’s only a 2 minute walk to the centre of Burnham Market yet it’s still very peaceful and relaxing. This is our second stay at Wheel House, we love it because it’s the perfect house to use as a base to explore the beautiful Norfolk coast and surrounding towns and villages.

Five minutes walk from everything in Burnham Market. Good instructions for entry (no staff for check in). Plush, comfortable, very well equipped. Everything was new, shiny and worked properly. The building had loads of character, including an actual railway carriage for one of the rooms. There was a well stocked honesty bar for late night (quiet) revelry. Friendly staff members around in the morning.
