Lovely setting - it really is a private beach there, and the...

Lovely setting - it really is a private beach there, and the restaurants (part of the Hotel) are great .. if a little pricey! We hired paddleboards £14 for an hour which was great, and if you get there when the tide is out you can walk all around the bay.

Nothing to dislike about our stay from start to finish Doug was the perfect host and nothing was to much trouble for him . The place is a credit to him and the attention to detail is excellent. Thanks again Doug Mick & Lindsey oh and Lottie of course .

Carbis bay is lovely and less busy than St Ives.

Carbis bay is lovely and less busy than St Ives. Plenty of restaurants with different choice of food. Tried several and found them great. La casita Spanish tapas -lovely. Gannet Inn the staff so friendly and Sunday lunch very nice. Firehouse St Ives, lovely staff and great food. The beach area in Carbis bay is really beautiful with choice of food available, a really nice bar with stunning views and a coffee shop. It’s very easy to get around if you have a car and there is parking available in several different locations around carbis bay. The local supermarket is very convenient on the main road. Already looking forward to a return visit!

Carbis Bay has a lovely sandy beach.

Carbis Bay has a lovely sandy beach. Easy walk to StIves or to Porthkidney beach. Train station is very useful to travel without having to drive. Beach cafe serves delicious food. Lovely vibe at Carbis Bay .

Another thing that 'really matters', when visiting this '...

Another thing that 'really matters', when visiting this 'part of the World is 'Parking' ( Which can be a real nuisance in Winter ) and total 'hell' in summer...But The Badger Hotel is just a few minutes from the station ( with frequent trains to the centre of St Ives )...But as 'pointed out' by the Hotel, the bus stop is just 'over the road', so we went directly into the centre, in a 'matter of minutes'...( And believe me, it doesn't get better, than that...

I liked the location. Carbis Bay is beautiful with St. Ives only a mile away. Buses and Tesco were nearby. I could use the fridge and microwave for meals. I couldn't get wifi since I couldn't connect to the guest wifi and the admin wifi was always too far away for a proper connection. The owners said the guest wifi was usually fine but not at the top of the house. The house and garden look beautiful. I had a small single room, very clean and everythping worked.

The views over Carbis Bay are stunning, the hosts Ally and Rowan are welcoming and the perfect breakfast companions, their breakfasts were superb. The decor is wacky but in a fantastic sense, with the room well presented, with a full view over the bay. I would return in a heartbeat, and recommend without any hesitation.

The bedroom and bathroom were nicely fitted. Good quality fixtures and fittings. Little fridge was a bonus. Good shower and plenty of hot water. The host was very helpful. Carbis Bay is beautiful and is in walking distance from the property. Tesco's 5 min walk St ives along a lovely path, 20 mins.

Lovely places, alot of rooms and most of them have their own decks. There is a barbq space as well. The living room is spacious and comfy. Definitely recommend 10/10 whether you are looking for family accommodation or a group of friends. A couple of minutes drive from the carbis bay beach.
