Very friendly welcome from Claire when we arrived. She was most helpful during our stay, resolving any issues we had. The food at this hotel is excellent, both dinner and breakfast. The Swale room was very comfortable with a huge bathroom. Lovely hotel.

We arrived early and were welcomed. The weather was awful - Middleham had had a good downfall of snow overnight, albeit a little early. We enjoyed a drink in the bar area whilst our room was ready. Our room was spotlessly clean, with an excellent view of Middleham Castle. We enjoyed a pre-dinner drink in the bar where we met Fiona - the proprietor. What a lovely lady. Our meal was excellent - could not be faulted. After a restful night's sleep, we were delighted to see that the snow has disappeared. Breakfast was absolutely scrumptious. It certainly set us up for the rest of today - Sunday 24th. Very nice to see the race horses being exercised. Fiona explained that Middleham is the Newmarket of the North - many riding stables in the area. Another visit is a MUST. Next time we will take our dog with us to meet Fiona!!

Stayed overnight on New Years Eve. Absolutely delicious meal in the pub, very high quality. Pub was busy with a good atmosphere. Room was recently renovated and was lovely. Comfy bed, clean room and good facilities. Breakfast was good, served by a lovely friendly lady. Can't fault anything.

Location was excellent and free parking right in front of the hotel in the lovely main square in Leyburn. Friendly,, helpful staff, breakfast good and well kept real ale. Good value - we had the budget room but adequate for our needs and extremely clean and wonderfully quiet. Handy for the whole town which has many I dependent shops and central for exploring the beautiful Yorkshire Dales and the stunning countryside. We would be very happy to stay there again.

Fantastic accommodation, tastefully decorated and very comfortable! Everything you could possibly need has been included. Breakfast was amazing and Mark and Nicki were fabulous hosts. We would definitely recommend a stay here. It’s just a short walk to town, so very convenient.
