Best nights sleep in a long time. We booked this hotel at the last minute. All the staff were friendly and attentive, the food in the restaurant was great, the bed was large and very comfy and the room was quiet. Breakfast was huge and the grilled bacon was particularly delicious 😋. All in all this was a great hotel and I'd really recommend it to anyone passing through Stroud. Shout out to the manager for being awesome and Ash for his great dinner service and wicked highballs! 10/10 would definitely stay again.

A hidden quirky gem of a stay. Imagine being sent back in time to stay with posh relatives in the country. Communal rooms for dining and socialising with afternoon cakes and fruit to help yourself. I spent hours chatting to fellow guests in the library and dining room. Superb grounds and views with lots of parking. An intrepid walk through the grounds into Stroud. Odd little bedroom reminicent of boarding school.

    Location good for motorway, small shop and pub.

    Location good for motorway, small shop and pub. Noisy though as on a busy roundabout. Not suitable for 5 people, two adults and 2 children under 10 at best. Sofa not comfortable for relaxing. Bathroom sink far too small and toilet not fixed properly to wall. No vacuum cleaner provided. No instructions about what to do with rubbish and recycling. Property adequate for a long weekend for a couple, but not for more people. Front gate cannot be locked as latch broken, so unsafe with young children/pets due to very busy roundabout.

    For the 4 of us, it was a good size, clean and comfortable.

    For the 4 of us, it was a good size, clean and comfortable. Parking was good. Good shop right next door. Didn't get to pub across the road as need to book in advance for a meal. 2 mins off the M5
