Layout was nice and comfortable; room was clean and appealing; restaurant meals were nice and staff were helpful. Easy check-in (done online) and only had to pop in and pick up the key. Car Park had plenty of room and while a small fee was payable, it was very handy and worth it.

This property looked and felt like a traditional English Inn - as a Canadian, I really enjoyed this. The room was spacious, bed comfortable, and it was warm, which was important as Britain is freezing. I also really enjoyed the pub and restaurant. Breakfast was included; I ordered a full English breakfast and it was delicious. I also appreciated all the Christmas decorations as it really added a nice touch to the atmosphere.

It's beautiful. The staff especially the love Latvian receptionist who's name I'm so sorry I can't pronounce was so welcoming and friendly. The staff could not do enough to help us. As a disabled traveller I always worry but the hotel totally accessible. Rooms were clean and spacey with everything you need or ring the front desk and they will help. Our breakfast table, not a problem, help to get drinks, no problem. I needed extra clean towels and an ironing board and they brought them right up. Nothing was too much trouble. The room was comfortable and the bed, wow super comfy. Love the pig in the foyer but laughed our socks off at the horse, that is a must see. The Food was amazing and not too pricey for a 4 star hotel. We were there for a wedding and the venue is exceptional.. 12 Acres to walk around and great if you take your furbabies with you. Love the little touches like a doggy menu and welcome treats. The doggy dining area is just fabulous. Breakfast was so inclusive fully cooked English, yogurts, fruit, pastries, hams and continental. Cereals of all types. Loads of choices for Milk. Juices Teas Coffee. Rooms service was great as was the choice of food. Evening meals great. Bar A touch pricey BUT not overly pricey. Loads of wines, spirits, beers and even better plenty of Zero drinks.

Although there is no elevator, the stairs wer very easy and comfortable, even with the luggage. Nice view from the room to the park. Very centrally located - and quiet. Excellent bed and mattress. Easy to use parking lot.

A beautiful place to stay which was quite if you wanted it.

A beautiful place to stay which was quite if you wanted it. The room was superb. Dinner in the Inn gave a good choice of meals in a friendly atmosphere. Road links to some of the most beutiful villages was excellent.

We were very pleased with the location of the pub, easy to...

We were very pleased with the location of the pub, easy to find and very attractive looking facade. The staff were friendly and welcoming. The rooms were funky colours which made a nice change from plain grey, and the bed linen was exceptionally nice. ….duck feather pillows and good quality white linens, and a very comfortable bed too. We had a nice meal in the restaurant and a few drinks in the bar too. There was plenty of choice for breakfast, the only error was that the poached eggs on avocado toast were hard. But we would definitely recommend a stay, we really enjoyed it. Thank you Green Dragon! A nice addition is that they have a lovely shop on the site, with well sourced foods and gifts, (also a small selection of plants )which is great if you are planning a picnic en route.

Beautifully styled rooms. Modern and very clean bathrooms. Hot day so pleased windows could be opened and we managed to get a fan. Dinner at hotel was delicious. Staff very attentive. Shop attached filled with great local produce anf gifts was an added bonus.

We liked the fact that it isn’t a hotel. It was a very friendly pub, the staff were excellent and very friendly. The food was very good and the location was lovely. Our accommodation was very comfortable.

One of the nicest places I have stayed. Food, room and service perfect and really good value for money. The bed was similar to what you’d expect in 5* up-market hotel.
