Upon arrival we were immediately swept away by the pittoresque aesthetic of the building. The staff, in all different area of the hotel were extremely polite, friendly and professional. I can imagine it is a very nice place to work! The hotel has a history with bad boy DuVall but what most visitors do not know is the legend of 'The Midnight Stapler"... Strongly recommend to ask about this myth and let it leave you in awe.

EVERYTHING!!! The staff Staff was super friendly and helpful, Michael greeted us with a a very charming Welcome!! and Rute at reception, they couldn’t do enough, they were so friendly and welcoming. The Room was fantastic. We were very surprised by the restaurant as the food was also not bad at all and good value too. totally 💯 recommended!!!! Ideal if you want to visit other places of interest and a more traditional ones. this is a New development , it felt so safe and if you are traveling by car, so easy to commute to Oxford town centre and Bicester.

Three (very different) hotel/pubs in the village - all...

Three (very different) hotel/pubs in the village - all offering food. Excellent shop - Eagles Fine Foods almost opposite the Unicorn Inn with delicatessen and fresh food. For "Garden" visitors: Rousham is a few miles away; Batsford Arboretum a 40 minute drive away. Parking in Deddington is not restricted and free. Co-Op and Post Office opposite the Unicorn Inn.

This was a perfect location for a break in the Cotswolds. The space is very well equipped and comfortable, the hosts were so helpful (even lending us a clothes steamer as we were going to a formal event on the last morning!), and Deddington has lovely pubs and sights to enjoy. Highly recommend.
