Wonderful heritage location overlooking the river Clyde.....a modern hotel in an historic cotton mill building. The room was modern and very clean. The bed was comfortable.

The hotel staff were friendly and helpful, and I loved that the hotel was central to the town. I also loved the little train ride run by volunteers.

Everything - location was great as a stepping stone to journey to the Highlands. Bar area was spacious, staff helpful and breakfast was good. We were delighted that on arrival we were upgraded to a suite. The room was great and had a jacuzzi bath.

Lovely peaceful location. Beautiful building with lovely furniture. Friendly staff. The breakfast was delicious.

This stunning property would have to have been the most outstanding BnB we have ever been to. It was faultless. John and Lesley were both amazing people and the breakfasts were award winning. Highly recommend this beautiful BnB.

Thoughtfully & tastefully planned, comforts of home. The room was well appointed with all the amenities we needed. The bathroom was large & well designed with modern fittings. Alan, the owner & host gave us very warm welcome, shared much about Scotland’s history. He was very hospitable & attentive. Breakfast was sumptuous and personally cooked by Allan himself. Will certainly visit the property again should we visit Scotland in the future.

Fantastic facility, new, modern, and clean, with a touch of luxury. Well looked after accommodation.Comfortable. Pleasant host , nice breakfast, good location between Edinburgh and Glasgow ( we were able to visit both cities ) At 4 beds, we did expect the large room we got, but the bathroom was a nice surprise, large and spacious, modern, clean, and with a perfect shower. Natural light , free parking, perfect stay. Suggestion : as we arrive late in a new area and in the dark we found the place very easy thanks to the GPS; however I thing same simple props like Xmas lights until 10- 11pm up the alley , on every 2nd plant barrel and/ or on the wood fence in front will only help new arrivals. Personal preferences: 1) all interior walls painted in one neutral colour, stone, magnolia 2) Wash the rug in good weather with a hose & detergent & brush. This rustic method is my way of cleaning much preferred over dry cleaning or any other stain removal method 3) The BEAUTIFUL large glass doors overlooking the patio had children fingerprints on it , make sure you target this area so tempting for ppl to touch as one can only admire the gorgeous view but some are....tactile The majority don't even notice such a detail, but a clean freak like me has a problem with windows finger marks 4) This is a peaceful and quiet location However, it is true that in the morning, we could hear the motion above. Nothing upsetting, ppl moving around. For us, was the cue to wake up and get ready for the latest breakfast at 8.45

Very atmospheric place to stay, with lovely, cosy interior! The cottage has old (in a good way!) and traditional feel to it, with all of the modern comforts you might need. We stayed there in October, with the outside temperatures on the lower side, and inside was so lovely and warm! Additionally, working log burner added extra warmth and cosiness in the living area. Kim, whom I’ve liaised with regarding the cottage, was very nice and helpful throughout. The location was also fantastic, only short drive to Edinburgh and beautiful Pentland Hills reserve. I’d definitely visit again!
