I adored every little detail – from the cozy atmosphere to the incredible hot tub, which was absolutely divine. The location was fabulous .... a rural location on the outskirts of Drymen. Very convenient for visits to Loch Lomond, Balmaha, Rowardennan, Balloch, and for hiking on the West Highland Way and and climbing/walking on local hills. Plus a relatively short drive to Glasgow, Stirling and Edinburgh. Exceptionally comfortable and modern property. Warm and cosy and very well appointed. Owner, Jenny, met with us on arrival and gave us some helpful guidance on local attractions and nearby pubs and eateries.

Fantastic place. Bedroom was very spacious and comfortable, with all you can need. The Scottish breakfast was delicious and complete to continue the West Highland Way. But the most remarkable point was the kind and friendly owners, that helped us with all we needed. Thank you so much for everything.

    As a Scot I know Drymen well, also Buchanan Castle Estate where I was a member at the golf club. In 1986 we transferred to Australia due to my employer. I am pleased to say that not much has changed since then

    For a weekend away with friends , it was restful and comfortable but at the same time had a variety of places to eat and evening entertainment for you to enjoy together . Our second visit and we intend to make it an annual event .

    We liked the friendliest of the people we met, lovely cafe and reasonably priced, A lovely clothes shop offering a variation of clothes, beautiful surroundings. Lovely walks and nice beach a short distance away, ideal for walkers.

    A lovely wee place to visit.

    A lovely wee place to visit. We stayed so we could visit the Falkirk Wheel and Kelpies but many come for the outdoor activities. Plenty of coffee shops and bars. The Thursday night Pipe Band is brilliant.

    Ideal location for exploring Loch Lomond and in easy reach...

    Ideal location for exploring Loch Lomond and in easy reach of the trossachs! The village has independent shops for food and provisions plus a very good pub! There's a lovely path immediately opposite the Buchanon Arms approx 200m leading to a viewing area with benches to look out on the trossachs!

    Our trip to the lodge was disappointing as we had no heating or hot water and WiFi kept dropping . Looking at other reviews this looks like unresolved issues and had I checked previous reviews would not have booked The owner offer to provide us refund for above but has we have not received

    We stayed here for 2 nights in September. The hotel is really old and traditional but beautiful. Loved how big the rooms where and the beds were so comfortable. The food is so good and great value for money. Me had 2 course and 2 pints for £55. Brilliant location. We went up Ben Lomond which was only a 20-minute drive. Drymen itself is a beautiful village with great pubs, cafes and shops. Definitely would recommend here.

    Wonderful cottage in a stunning location! Close to Drymen and Loch Lomond. Welcome basket on arrival was a lovely touch and enjoyed by all! Pet friendly with fantastic walks nearby. Great communication with hosts previous to arrival so that everything ran smoothly. Underfloor heating was amazing and the whole family had such a comfortable and enjoyable stay and would highly recommend to all.

    The Buchanan Arms Hotel was an absolutely lovely place to stay! The location was right near the trailhead for Conic Hill, it was easy to get around the town (cute cafes and a restaurant within walking distance), and it was so nice to hang out in the hot tub after a long day of hiking!
