Dufftown is more than just a whisky destination; it's a place where history, nature, and community intertwine beautifully. It's a peaceful retreat that still offers plenty to explore and experience, making it an absolute must-visit for anyone travelling through Moray Speyside. Whether you're drawn by the amber liquid, the stunning scenery, or the warm Scottish hospitality, Dufftown truly delivers an exceptional and memorable visit.

There is only 1 Bar in Dufftown and it’s basic but has a dart board but that’s your lot.now as others lost business to Covid. There’s an Indian which is average and take away which is basic. Advise to book places to eat in Aberlour to avoid disappointment. Whisky tours only accept online bookings.

The people were friendly.

The people were friendly. Unfortunately the tourist information office had been shut down. There were plenty of distilleries nearby if you had a car. There were good walking tracts if you had a medium level of fitness. There is only one pub as far as I know but I would recommend the restaurant as the food which was excellent.

It is ideally located in Dufftown, making it extremely convenient to join nearby distillery tours. The cleanliness of the accommodation is impeccable. Moreover, the breakfast provided by the host is absolutely superb. I am truly grateful for her attentiveness and the way she is always making sure that nothing is lacking.

Breakfasts were excellent and we tried almost all of the cooked breakfast options - all delicious. Location was really good with everything in Dufftown being just a short walk away. Great spot as a central location in Spey for whisky tasting in the area too.

We didn’t know Dufftown was the capital of whiskey distillery country, and the road route we took via Grantown on Spee was exceptional. A very memorable stay. and the staff at the pub and the whiskey restaurant behind were great too.
