It was a pleasure. The host is super friendly and familiar. We were the first guests after the house was lovingly renovated for four years. Everything is new and very clean. The breakfast is fantastic. We are already looking forward to coming back soon!

Beside the river in Aberlour city centre and close to everything. Rooms were big with comfortable beds, nice amenities and a bath tub - and they were named after speyside whisky distilleries. Parking was easy as they allocate lots for guests. Breakfast was delicious. We had a great night doing whisky flights in the bar - their stock list is immaculate!

The atmosphere, location, and authenticity of the place make it truly unique. The charm of the Highlander Inn lies not only in its setting, but also in the passion of its team — especially the whisky-loving bartenders, who curate a refined selection of bottles alongside excellent local draft beers. The bar was lively, and the breakfast was simply wonderful. We had an excellent Scottish breakfast in a warm and authentic atmosphere. Special thanks to our host Takeda, who delivered outstanding and attentive service throughout our stay. The room had a very charming, traditional countryside feel that added to the authenticity of the experience. However, a slight improvement in overall comfort would make the stay even better. We still speak of this place with nostalgia when reminiscing with my father and brother.

We have had meals a number of times in the Aberlour Hotel and have always had a fantastic experience. Large portions too. Each time we’ve visited, all staff have been knowledgeable about the area and are always happy and cheerful. Our room was large with a gigantic comfortable bed. the room was heated to a good temperature and was quiet too.

It's a peaceful retreat that still offers plenty to explore and experience, making it an absolute must-visit for anyone travelling through Moray Speyside. There is only 1 Bar in Dufftown and it’s basic but has a dart board but that’s your lot.now as others lost business to Covid. There’s an Indian which is average and take away which is basic. Advise to book places to eat in Aberlour to avoid disappointment. Whisky tours only accept online bookings.

The people were friendly.

The people were friendly. Unfortunately the tourist information office had been shut down. There were plenty of distilleries nearby if you had a car. There were good walking tracts if you had a medium level of fitness. There is only one pub as far as I know but I would recommend the restaurant as the food which was excellent.

From the moment we arrived for our three-night stay, we felt welcomed by Kira, Tom and Tizzie. Our clean and spacious room was comfortable; in particular, the bed provided a good sleep. There was a great selection for breakfast and we enjoyed trying different offerings each day. No ask seemed to bother Kira whose hospitality background was obvious in her attention to detail and pleasant service. If our next Scotland adventure takes us though Dufftown, we'll be certain to include Abbeyfield on our preferred booking spots.

Nice B&B that seems to have been renovated recently. The room was larger than expected, clean, and comfortable. The downstairs bar serves an extensive list of whiskey and seems to be popular with locals. The hotel has a restaurant that is great for dinner, with good food and a reasonable process. Luise was so nice and worked really hard (serving at the bar in the evening, breakfast and lunch). Breakfast is regular for what you would expect from a B&B. The location is right in the middle of town.

Beautifully decorated interior and clean rooms. It felt like a cosy boutique hotel yet also someone’s home which is what you want from a B&B. Excellent breakfast. They were extremely accommodating for our stay.
