Small village but with 2 pubs with rooms, large common area, general shop and a tack store selling a surprising range of goods. There's also a garage, in case.the car needs it and a number of pleasant walks radiate from the village.

In the middle of Exmoor country park so the village was remote ..Because of the wet weather , i went out in the car to get to places of interest..Drier days, and if I had found the walking routes ,would probably of used them ..Fields upon fields and countryside around

The staff especially at breakfast was excellent although he seemed to be overworked and desperately needed some assistance. The information on booking .Com stated there was a refrigerator in the room but there wasn’t and when we asked at check in we were told our room doesn’t have one although when I booked it said it did the hotel did nothing to try and rectify this the problem arising was it was a particular hot few days.

A lovely location in the heart of Exmoor, choice of pubs and hotels and a great base for gentle strolls or longer Exmoor hikes. Village shop caters for most needs. Great area for riding with a number of riding centres within easy reach.

I have known, and loved, Exford for more than 70 years.

I have known, and loved, Exford for more than 70 years. Hearing the clippers-clop of horses' hooves and seeing the Exmoor Stores reopened and flourishing was splendid. Church Hill still seems strep to walk up...

Did not have time to look around Exford as we only booked for one night. We were booked onto a special stargazing event, which was excellent. However the drive over the moor from Lynton was stunning. Exford is situated in an excellent part of the moor for exploring and Exford appeared to be a lovely village to walk around, with two pubs and village shops. Horse riding available too. Would reconmmend Exford for a place to stay for either a long weekend or for a week.

We had a lovely long weekend here just after the new year and would definitely return. The bungalow is secluded yet well placed to visit the many spots around Exmoor. Parking is no trouble outside the bungalow and all the facilities you need are provided. The town has a small shop and two pubs which serve food. Tessa was a very welcoming host and was available for any enquiries. We would recommend this spot to others.

Penny and Peter were the perfect hosts. I have a lot of dietary requirements which were catered for without any problems. We had wonderful food the best breakfasts we have ever had in either a hotel or b & b. Penny even made me gluten and dairy free cakes that were amazing. We would definitely like to return.
