Fantastic experience. The property is run by a lovely couple. There is parking directly in front of the entrance. The room, like the rest of the property, is very well furnished and very clean. The bathroom is fantastic and spotlessly clean. Breakfast is prepared and served directly by the owners and is available in both continental and Scottish versions: delicious! I would also like to highlight the kindness of the owners who also gave us tickets to the annual Ardersier gala. Without a doubt the best overnight experience we have had in Scotland. Highly recommended!

The owner, Helen, ist extremely friendly and helpful. Wonderful view to the des Form the very comfortable room, immediately at the beach, lovely breakfast. We saw dolphins and one seal and osprey - big recommendation . Very nice restaurant: Crofters immediately there, wonderful hikes at the des and up a nice river.

Clean, warm, spacious rooms with really good breakfast. Amazing restaurant and it's important because it was the only one in the tiny village. We ate there twice and all the food was excellent, definetly the best we've got anywhere in our trip. Breakfast also was made with love, so good! The Inn's pub is nice too. Small crosery behind the corner for snacks. The bay is beautiful and has a lovely path along the sea shore to the fortress

What a beautiful part of Scotland!

What a beautiful part of Scotland! It was both relaxing and peaceful. There were different things you could do and fantastic places to eat and grab a drink. The dolphin watching was also very fun and different. Crofter’s was one of our favorite food places. Everyone we met were friendly and helpful.

Lovely little village with beautiful cathedral, shops, cafes, bakeries, butcher etc. Close to neighbouring village of Rosemarkie and beautiful beach and walks. Looks across Moray Firth to Ardersier and Fort George.

Not the best Closures due to Covid

Not the best Closures due to Covid Main road noisy and polluted Restaurant noisy opposite Fortress Harbour nice and around Cathedral but otherwise not the best Too far to walk to Canonry Point but by car you face parking charges Not our first visit but last in Fortrose Post Office sells lovely gifts

Fortrose is a beautiful village with historic buildings and the main attraction is the opportunity to spot dolphins at Chanonry Point. There are pubs and restaurants as well as the beach at Rosemarkie within walking distance of the village.

We received a warm welcome at the Anderson and throughout the staff were very friendly and efficient. I think the best description of this hotel is quirky. The decor is quaint and a bit tired but on the whole everything works. Breakfast was good but some people may have missed not having cereal or fruit. We ate dinner in the hotel and enjoyed it - the menu is certainly different from what I would have expected in the Highlands but that's not a criticism. The fresh fish and seafood on offer was excellent.

Everything. The beds and bedding, towels are gorgeous, fluffy and washed like you would at home. Not that harsh starch stiff hotel stuff ive experienced. Breakfast was delicious Steven and fiona are amazing hosts. We would come again and stay here longer Loved watching the birds fight for seeds in the morning Perfect duvet light and warn Shower is a beast Wonderful place , thank u guys c
