I had a great stay at Addison, John and Gina are fantastic hosts with a wealth of knowledge about their beautiful town. Everything was spotless, bed was comfy, shower hot and a fully stocked supply of breakfast foods if you want to stay in. The High St. is only a 5 minute walk and is a chance to get some fresh air on your way to all that Guildford has to offer. I have family who has moved there, so now have a place to come back to when I visit. Thanks John and Gina!

    Guildford is a lovely town with decent size and has everything there, but shops tend to close early. After 5pm downtown is quiet for most of the days. I enjoy staying there for 4-5 days, if longer than this it will be too boring. Not much can you do in Guildford. Take train to Waterloo London is easy, fast train is around 35 mins. its walkable in downtown Guildford.

    The Castle grounds were absolutely stunning this year.

    The Castle grounds were absolutely stunning this year. The Ivy and Ivy Asia were great places for food. Gales serve a nice coffee and cake. Olive was a great Italian and Zizi's served us a tasty lunch.

    Guilford was really nice, eventful, lots going on with a great buzz everywhere we were. It felt safe and vibrant, The cobbled high street and adjoining streets were inviting and the architecture was really nice too.

    Quiet town - shops close at 5pm daily except maybe on Thursday for late night shopping. The Friary Shopping Mall was convenient. The bus services - bus station was also near the Friary and the buses were regular. People were friendly and different sorts of food / cuisine were available.

    Guildford surprised me : I expected a small town in good condition with modern shops, fashionable people and shops, generally upmarket. It was not like this : it is tired and in need of care and attention and money (probably)

    Nice place to visit a must is booking a table at the ivy Asia absolutely amazing food excellent service very friendly staff and even brought out my daughters a mini birthday treat will definitely go back , the shopping is good and there's beautiful places to see for example the castle and beautiful grounds so much to do in Guildford very easy to get around and very friendly people

    We used the apartment for day trips to London, which was very convinient, as it is in walking distance to Guildford railway station and has frequent connection to Waterloo. Close to supermarket and restaurants and Guildford city centre as well. The apartment is nice and had definately enough space for the three of us, the kitchen is quite large and there are two (!) bathrooms.

    We came for the second time and we absolutely loved it. It was a spa weekend for my partners birthday and it was very relaxing. The hotels facilities are very good, the spa, bar, and accommodation itself. On top of that is in a very nice area of Guildford with many places to eat , shop or visit. Will come back again for sure !

    Pre-stay comms was great, we stayed a night in superior suite at rear of hotel, booked a car parking space in rear car park (narrow entrance!), lovely big room with bath and shower, friendly staff at Reception (especially Scarlet), delicious breakfast, easy straight walk to Guildford High Street
