The Larch is such a tranquil peaceful weekend get away with your loved one. We had such a wonderful time shutting away from the outside world & be just the 2 of us, time together, it was lovely to be in a private space surrounded by greenery & sheep in the field. The Larch had all the amenities needed for a weekend break (there is a retail park 5mins away) & was clean & tidy, with nice touches like chocolate in the fridge & the tuck shop box. We are already looking at coming back it’s definitely recommended.

Large room, very clean. Spa is really large and my treatment was so good- would certainly make time if I returned for a half or full day spa next time. Food ordered in bar (bangers and mash) really tasty. Staff friendly and also efficient.

Beautiful property in an amazing location. The hosts are amazing and nothing is too much trouble. The property is lovely and very clean. I would definitely recommend this property if you are look for peace and quite but close enough for a city break.

We stayed overnight to celebrate my wife’s doctorate.

We stayed overnight to celebrate my wife’s doctorate. Played golf on your Lakes Course and was quite disappointed with the state of the greens. But the evening meal was lovely and the rooms we had were very nice and clean.

How can you NOT change sheets for next hotel guests??

How can you NOT change sheets for next hotel guests?? Revolting smell of bedding when we arrived first day. Cold air and water temperature in the spa,very disappointing in winter ,when people are traveling hoping to relax in a warm spa with romantic partner. Very high price of food and alcohol. Polite staff trying to compasate low quality of the hotel with a fake smile. Beautiful decoration and fire place. I would not recommend to travel in winter

Fabulous venue.

Fabulous venue. Great for special occasions whether couples or a larger function (and at least two function rooms). Lovely rooms and staff. Good food too. Added options of vineyard tasting tours, cookery courses. Woodland walks. Not the cheapest but you do get what you pay for.

We went for a couple of days to do a workshop at the royal mint. The area is beautiful and I wish we had more time at the hotel and to explore the local sights. The vineyard tour at the hotel looks amazing and our trip to the royal mint was amazing! Definitely recommend.

The hotel was beautiful - staff very friendly and food was exquisite. The only thing that let it down for me was I wanted to book the spa and had phoned up several times and didn’t receive a call back until 4 days after my initial phone call. This meant that I was unable to have a treatment at the hotel, which sadly was my sole purpose for choosing it. I did however have a comfortable stay and as I say the food was tremendous!

This hotel is fabulous. It really is an old manor house in the Welsh countryside. From the moment we parked our car we felt like we had stepped back in time. The common areas are magnificent. Our room was very large and well appointed. The heavy wood canopy bed was an added bonus.
