The Cathedral interior is a gem of national heritage.

The Cathedral interior is a gem of national heritage. The exterior needs a lot of work. A pleasant walk around Cathedral Close but driving in and out of Hereford is to be avoided during rush hour. My Satnav became demented trying to find the Aylestone Court Hotel from the A49 out of Monmouth.

Really lovely old town centre and church.

Really lovely old town centre and church. Easy to walk around and plenty of one off Shops. Downside in late September at night it is very quiet and not easy to find a really nice place to eat for a special meal.

The cathedral is amazing!

The cathedral is amazing! There are so many streets with wonderful shops and no cars allowed! My favourite being the walk to the cathedral with the bunting and the gallery shop at the end with wonderful craft pieces to buy. The cider museum is great too!

I spent a weekend in Hereford and really enjoyed the experience. The town is lovely, with great options for food and plenty of natural surroundings to explore. I especially appreciated the local eateries and the chance to enjoy the nearby countryside. It was a relaxing and refreshing weekend getaway.

I was there to visit family so I didn’t spend a lot of time...

I was there to visit family so I didn’t spend a lot of time exploring Hereford as I have visited before. However I like Hereford as it has a lot to investigate especially the Mappa Mundi and the Cathedral. There is a variety of restaurants to suit all tastes. We had a curry on the first night a family meal in the Cosy Club and on our last night we had fish and chips from a Chippie just round the corner from where we were staying. It was very good with fish freshly cooked.

Lovely old buildings and fantastic cathedral. Had a great meal in a Thai restaurant. For a bank holiday , Hereford was surprisingly quiet. The Black Lion and The Orange Tree pubs are places to return to. Hereford centre itself was not very clean and tidy. I was quite surprised and disappointed

Our welcome when we arrived was amazing we were offered tea or Coffee and then a lovely slice of Cake arrived we were shown to our room by Michael which was beautiful spotlessly clean and with everything we needed and the bed was very comfy A full English breakfast was served which was beautifully cooked and there were lots of other options to choose from Fresh fruit Cereal fruit juice etc was readily available in the breakfast room we loved this Hotel and would stay again whilst visiting Hereford again 5 star rating from us ☆☆☆☆☆

Surprisingly spacious terraced house 10 minutes walk from the edge of Hereford town centre - 'The Barrels' more specifically - which is a Hereford institution. Very well equipped kitchen which means self-catering is possible making this so much a better value option than a hotel. One parking permit provided for the road directly outside the house, again another benefit as central city hotels charge for parking or have none. Very clean house with comfy sofas and beds and even a terrace out the back for better weather!

Lovely, historic hotel right near the centre of Hereford. Rooms were adjoining as requested and lovely. We were able to check in early, which considering we were arriving via canoe, mid-trip down the River Wye meant a relaxing shower before having a wonderful dinner! Staff were exceptionally kind, helping us to store our medical supplies for my son and allowing for his needs at the restaurant for dinner. Would return to the Green Dragon every time I was planning to visit Hereford.

This is a very clean and well equipped apartment. It is conveniently situated for the station; town centre and cathedral area. I found Katy to be polite and helpful. Unfortunately we couldn’t connect to the internet, but that may be due to our limited IT skills. I would definitely recommend this apartment to couples/ singles visiting Hereford.

Great location for getting into Hereford town centre. Even though the lodge is on the main road our garden room was very quiet. Very clean and comfortable room with everything you needed. Lovely breakfast served by friendly staff. We were only there for two nights but would stay there again.
