The Station Hotel is a New experience, but very Nice. Everything is clean, bed is comfortable and shower is great. The owners checks in every night but are very friendly.

Owner is there when you arrive, so so friendly and welcoming. Explains everything you need to know which is very quick and simple. There's bindersr explaining everything and labels on switches so you know what they all do. You get left to your own devices and you wouldn't know there was anyone next door but knowing they're there if you need help is amazing. It's so out of the way and peaceful, I'll definitely be back.

Everything! Superb mine host and all staff followed his example of helpfulness, friendliness and efficiency. Great food, freshly cooked and very ample portions.Waitress and bar service excellent. Beautiful, spotlessly clean rooms with very safe and modern shower. Large area of free parking. Very clean surroundings with good range of outside seating and pleasant plantings.

Insch is what you would expect a small Village not far from...

Insch is what you would expect a small Village not far from larger towns and within easy distance of lots of lovely places but you will have to drive unless your on your bikes ? so if you want main shops and bigger towns then there are 2 larger shopping places approximately 5 miles away its really quite nice to be in a lovely rural place and you must remember that this is a farming area so lots of farm tractors ect around the area and we did hear these because we was staying in the middle of a very busy harvest time and really is not an issue and you will not hear them to much while you sit by the beautiful stream that runs at the bottom of the garden at Lilyoak looking out over golden fields you may even be lucky and see some wild life !

Really nice friendly village.

Really nice friendly village. Two food shops, antique shop, leisure centre with a charity shop and cafe, Chinese takeaway, Indian takeaway, also Station Hotel. Museum at the railway station but only open on Sunday. A cafe on Commerce street. Lots of historic places around.

Isn't it great to be able to spend a night in a small and real village (rather than a town and an unremarkable place? Real peole running this place well, plus providing a fun as well as peaceful atmosphere

We chose the location because it is central to all of the northeastern Scotland National Trust castles, mansions, and gardens we wanted to visit. The only pub in town closed because of the pandemic, but we found good food in the nearby village of Alford.

Insch is a very small town with a few amenities, however the...

Insch is a very small town with a few amenities, however the great advantage is that there seemed to be a lot of things to see and do within very short distances, for all ages. The hotel has a comprehensive stand full of information and the hotel are very happy to sort out bookings etc for you. A car is probably best for touring round but the train station is right opposite the hotel (didn't hear the trains at all).

Rooms were very good but breakfast was a selection of spar croissants wrapped in clingfilm kit kats and some fruit.Nescafé sachets for coffee No staff in the hotel at all except to cook an evening meal Would not have stayed if we had known
