Everything about this accommodation was fantastic. The hosts were just so friendly and couldn't do enough for us. Beds were comfortable, everything was spotlessly clean. The games/breakfast room was great and comfortable to sit in and relax. Parking at the front door. Breakfast is in the games room and has everything you could want - cereal, fruit, bread, eggs and cakes, yoghurt etc. You can use the microwave, Toaster or hob to cook the eggs and we had enough food for lunch too. We would recommend this accommodation to anyone and would definitely stay there again if visiting Kelso. 5 star rating!

Apartment was very well equipped and comfortable, and in a good location. Owners were just a WhatsApp away and kindly allowed a late check out. Tastefully furnished. I would highly recommend.

I felt very well and I warmly recommend the hotel to everyone who wants a good bed (my bed was so big that it was as if I was sleeping on my own island), the kitchen is well equipped and I could have breakfast when I wanted, without depending on the opening hours of the restaurants, I had hot water, well-equipped bathroom, central location, it was clean - everything would have been perfect, if I hadn't had problems upon arrival, but I hope that the management learned their lesson and will check well everything before the arrival of the guests. If it hadn't been for that incident, everything would have been more than perfect. ;-)

    Kelso is an interesting town in its own right .

    Kelso is an interesting town in its own right . Plenty of interesting shops , bars , and a square to add to the overall attraction . The Cream Chimneys cafe on the square is first class with interesting innovative dishes and advertises live music on weekend evenings . You would need to make a reservation for this . Nearby Floors Castle is worth a visit , and you can walk along the river which is easy to get to . Kelso would be a good base from which to visit other Border towns . There is plenty of streetside parking .

    Kelso is a lovely town and great for a weekend away. Just about the only town that I can think of that has a propper square in the centre of it. Lot of privately owned shops which creates an interesting experience for browsing.. Great local walks

    Very nice Borders town on the confluence of the River Tweed...

    Very nice Borders town on the confluence of the River Tweed and the River Teviot. Weather was excellent which always help. Nice town to walk around with excellent riverside walks. Floors Castle gardens, which is very close, is worth a visit too.

    What a beautiful Borders town.

    What a beautiful Borders town. Restaurants, cafes, bakeries, pubs, shops - it has a FatFace!!!! Clean - not a single scrap of litter anywhere- and beautifully maintained. River for walks, park to sit & enjoy nature, ruined abbey for history. Struck by how many people knew each other, and greeted friends as they passed. Excellent location for sight-seeing in the local area, being within easy reach of Melrose & surrounding tourist destinations.

    Kelso is a beautiful scenic town with Floors Castle within walking distance from our accommodation. Lots of historical places. Great for those who love cycling, walking. A selection of places to eat. Fish n chips, kebabs, pub food, Greggs, Cake shop... We travel 370 miles to stay in Kelso. 4 times since August last year. Will we be coming back again? Of course!

    Friendly place with something for everyone to do,.

    Friendly place with something for everyone to do,. We only had a short weekend . But once a year we travel far and wide. Travelling the coastline finding hidden hideaways with the most natural untouched places. The Scottish government provide such lovely clean places and honestly I would move to Kelso in a heart beat.

    Kelso is a great place to just relax by the side of the Tweed and watch salmon leap. Exactly what we needed on way home after touring Scotland. The hotel gives a first impression of maybe needing a bit of an update but ignore that - it has everything needed. Staff are friendly, service is great, food is excellent and the room comfortable. The Queen's Head is in centre of town near the abbey and at first we thought parking was going to be a problem but you can find free parking nearby, just ask the staff.

    Wonderful place with bonus of a comfortable sitting room in addition to the bedroom. That plus a wonderful breakfast served by excellent hosts and the absolute peacefulness of the location - such a great place to stay - we will be back next time we are in the Kelso area.
