There's literally nothing to do here. I had always been led to believe Kings Lynn is a quaint historical town/village – in some ways it is, but completely lacks personality. Hotel spotlessly clean, outstanding staff, also kitchen staff friendly, welcoming and really helpful, just a little disappointed with the cooked breakfast although lovely!!!! It was glorious weather and hotel in a perfect place. Kings Lynn has a lot of history & buildings reflect that . There is shopping but similar with most towns the high street needs something! Kings Lynn is a town of two halves, one being very run down. However, the actual riverside and old town is very well kept and historic, and the park by the station is beautiful. We came across an organ recital at the Minster on the Tuesday, which was an unexpected bonus, as it was free, and lunch could also be purchased there. This happens on Tuesdays, apparently. Very nice and quiet camp,it’s good if you just want to relax. It has supermarkets near so you don’t have to go far to get essentials, the camp site also has a little shop that has essential items. Clive was an exceptional host who made us both feel very welcome. The bedroom was large and very comfortable. There was a beautiful bathroom and the most amazing kitchen which we could have cooked in had we wished. We enjoyed a coffee and relaxed in the fabulous garden after being shown around.
