Knaresborough was a stop to see family friends at the end of our road trip. A lovely relaxing place with friendly people and plenty of places of interest to visit Rowing boat hire is a must to get the best photos from the river

Well what can I say an absolute little jewel of a town.

Well what can I say an absolute little jewel of a town. Plenty to see from the town square and high street. Down to the river walks, The Lady Chapel, The Castle. River boats (but only till October) Mother Shipton's Cave. Got to mention the very quaint and beautiful railway station. It is quite hilly but with patience and care it can be got around we are in our late 60's and we managed. Watch out for the blue plaques on the historical buildings reading them is a real eye opener. Plenty of pubs to choose from but the Worlds End Pub has to be our favourite. The food there was very reasonably priced. Portion size is very generous and well presented and the staff are lovely nice place to take a break.

We were surprised at the history of Knaresborugh and found the buildings charming. The walk by the river is pleasant, there are small independent shops, cafes and pubs. We visited Newby Hall and Harlow Carr Gardens which are very near.

Knaresborough is a lovely little town with a fabulous iconic view from the castle over to the viaduct. Beautiful walk at the side of the River Nidd to St James' Retail Park and visit the Watermill Cafe on the edge of the river.

Great place to visit on short stay.

Great place to visit on short stay. Mother Shiptons Cave was a disappointment though as we were expecting a cave you could walk in but this is definitely not the case though so bear that in mind as £15.00 per adult is expensive. Town is lovely and picturesque.

The staff were polite, friendly, and welcoming. The room was clean tidy with lovely little extras, cordial in your room, not just tea and coffee wine glasses provided and a small bottle of milk in a little fridge, you have a breakfast card you can fill in with the time you wish to have breakfast and what you would like. Overall it is a lovely place located in a great area near the train station and near the town centre will definitely be staying again

Ideally located to walk around lovely Knaresborough. Hotel is clean and comfortable. Dog friendly as is Knaresborough. Our room was a good size, the bed was really comfortable. The room had 2 doors. One being the exit to outside, which was useful for taking our dog out rather than walking through the hotel all the time. Good choice for breakfast. We ate in one night for our evening meal and wasn't disappointed.

It is basically lime having a large suite in a hotel but with the bonus of a kitchen. A great place for a few days to stay. Really clean and comfortable. Loved the fact that it came with a car parking space that is 2 min walk away. Knaresborough is pretty small and you can get everywhere in 10 mins walk. Couple of great pubs a a minute or two away down the hill.

The owner left clear instructions to access site and Caravan, so on arrival, all straightforward to follow. Caravan exceptionally clean, and facilities great and more than enough room for.couples or small families. A great location to explore local areas, knaresborough on foot, and York and coast within reach by car/ train for day trips. Highly recommend 👌
