It was very quiet and set on the canal which was beautiful. The staff were very helpful and accommodating. They put my phone on charge in the office as I had forgotten my charger. The breakfast was lovely. It was also easy to find.

This hotel is a real gem for those visiting NEC, offering free parking and convenient walking access to the complex. The restaurant is excellent with great food. However, don't rely on Google Maps for walking directions – it suggests a 30-minute route through the train station, but there's a shortcut that only takes 7-10 minutes. We stayed for Crafts with our dog, and everything was very convenient.

First time staying in the Holiday Inn Express NEC Birmingham and I've been treated super special with the staff. Very helpful of what we need mentioning (Mackenzie). Food options are nice and we will definitely stay again.

    Just stayed one night after visiting the NEC.

    Just stayed one night after visiting the NEC. Great location right next to the Grand Union Canal. Staff where all friendly and helpful. Dinner in the restaurant was very good. The food was excellent, and a great atmosphere in the bar / restaurant areas. The room was a little tied but comfortable and had all that you need for a short stay.

    The hotel and pub/restaurant were very very cute and lovely. Our lock actually fell off and we were locked outside of our room for about 2 hours: the staff were fantastic about it and whilst waiting for the engineer to come out, they offered to either put us up in a different hotel or have a tab of food and drink. As we were in a group, we stayed and had the cocktails which were amazing! Breakfast in the morning was also delicious and just what we needed!

    Lovely canalside location - close to Solihull. Rooms beautifully decorated - spacious bathroom with excellent shower - large flat screen TV. Adequate parking alongside the hotel.
