Had a lovely time staying at the Resident! The staff was extremely kind and welcoming. Besides having anything you would expect from a Standard room it also had a neatly hidden kitchenette with a microwave, sink, kettle and a coffee machine. Also the location does not get any more central and we were given a discount at the nearby parking. Overall, you cannot get anything better for such a good price!

The planning and layout of of Liverpool's dockland area is superb. My home town of Greenock and the city of Glasgow could learn a lot from Liverpool...shops a wee bit pricey though! Restaurants and other dining/eating/drinking venues are varied and plentiful along with varied prices but something for everyone. We found that things were a lot cheaper in the city itself and we had a great afternoon in the King John pub right next to the Cavern. I felt that areas and things/places of interest could be better highlighted along with street signs etc. but not a big issue! We loved our short stay, lots to do and see, oh! we did the Beatles tour which is reasonably priced and a good way to see some city highlights. Our guide Chris, like most Scousers was very knowledgeable and full of wit... Overall, a great experience and just like Liverpool's motto of everyone being welcome, we were made to feel this way during our visit. We will return...

I was there for two days (one night) and enjoyed both the shopping on day 1 (from the world's largest Lush store to the other shops, it was great. Loved Albert Docs and also the Beatles statue in front of the Ferry building. Day two was Beatles Themed, first a visit to the Beatles Story at the Albert Docs and then a ride on the Magical Mystery Tour Bus. I've been to Liverpool and Penny Lane before but seeing all the locations, from birth houses to Strawberry Field to churches and everything in between, it was a great way of spending two hours.

Most places in Liverpool are accessable by foot this said get the hop on hop off bus which gives you a great idea where all things are and keeps you out of the rain. The Cavern is worth the £7.50 entrance fee as music is played all day, The ferry tour is bracing and worth adding into the bus tour. The Beatles experience at the Albert dock is very good as is Albert dock with many coffee shops. Stunning Cathedrals and architecture mostly free. Unlike London all toilets have Hot water, the people are a plus we found everyone friendly, helpful and generally chatty. Liverpool is full of retail and lots of eateries so something for everyone. A great City

Liverpool is my home city.

Liverpool is my home city. We moved away some years ago so this trip was to meet up with friends and family. Liverpool is a wonderful place, great public transport, a great shopping centre and plenty of places to find good meals. Liverpool is a very green city with lots of public parks, one of the best is Calderstones Park in the Mossley Hill area. A great place for a city break, you won't be disappointed!

Plenty of things to do!

Plenty of things to do! specially if a Beatles fan but if not lots of good museums and art galleries, the choice of restaurants is amazing so many places and so little time to try them all, great break away for short time or longer if you want to, also it is so well connected with other places you can do day visits too, we went to Chester for a morning and it was lovely trip too.

This hotel is amazing! There aren’t many good hotels in the city centre of Liverpool. Novotel is honestly amazing value for money !. Great location and hotel room was spacious and comfy. Mirrors in the rooms are great to capture your outfit pic before heading out 😂! Utilities were very good also. Hair dryer wasn’t a cheap crappy one either ! Gary the night manager is such a lovely man. He was very kind to me and cousin while we stayed in the hotel. He is such a gent and was very caring.

We recently stayed at The Resident Liverpool and had a fantastic stay. The location was ideal for everything we had planned, with the city centre and the docks just a short walk away. We booked a small double and were pleasantly surprised by the size and amenities this room came with. The kitchenette was a brilliant element as it allowed us to store and prepare our own food during the stay. We would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone else visiting Liverpool.

Great location - I'm sure it's a fabulous place to stay in the summer. Good for exploring around the redeveloped docks (Queen's/Albert), shops and museums and a 15 minute walk from Liverpool One and the city centre shopping areas. Free parking was the deciding factor - other options included Hilton and other prime city centre hotels, but the parking charges doubled the cost of a few days stay elsewhere. Friendly staff and great breakfast.
