We stayed one night in a 3 person room and we loved the ambience and cheerful friendly nature of everyone. The 2 Hotel dogs are friendly & delightful! The room was simple but comfortable. There is a cosy bar/lounge area that looked great but we didn't have time for it unfortunately. Our room rate included brekky - so we enjoyed a made-to-order selection including hot English breakfast, Omelette, Eggs Benedict and more. There was also a variety of cereals, toast +spreads, waffles & maple syrup, yoghurt, juices, tea and very good coffee! The location is perfect for visiting Stonehenge.

The location was great, the breakfast was superb, in fact it some of the best black pudding I've ever tasted. The rooms were beautiful big and clean. I was so happy to see a bath in a big open bright bathroom. The lady who looked after the place was so welcoming and generous, I can't wait to visit this beautiful town again and stay in this same place. Thank you for your exceptional hospitality.

We only stayed here, in the Kennels, for one night, and certainly wish we'd had longer. It was Easter, April 9, and we chose the location for its proximity to Stonehenge where we had an evening Stone Circle entry. It was perfect for this purpose, but even more important, the setting and amenities were exceptional. Given that it was Easter, Annabel (a wonderful host) worked with us trying to find a restaurant (1) open and (2) not already totally booked. That proved impossible (our poor planning at fault here), but the copious amount of self-catering breakfast supplies she provided was more than enough to cook for our dinner and then the next morning breakfast as well. As other reviews have described, the home grown/raised/cooked provisions were amazing! The history of the Kennels and the overall property was fascinating, be sure to browse through Annabel's book depicting the renovations they did. The cottage was beautifully and thoughtfully modernized, wifi is good, shower water pressure and temperature fine, and cooking implements plentiful and well thought out. One could stay here many days in comfort to explore the local estate and this general area. Wish we'd had longer but had to move on to London to catch our flight home.

Beautiful spot by one of the Test's streams complete with the ducks. Absolutely lovely for 2 agile people as the short stairs to the bedroom on the mezzanine are very steep. The flat had a small lounge with woodburner and was the same price as the normal bedroom in the usual hotel so great value for the money. The .George pub a short walk from The Den was great too. The food was cooked beautifully and wasn't a bad price for such delights.
