Breakfast was good, freshly cooked. Coffee good. Staff, I think Emma, was very good. We dined in on our first night and the restaurant was very nice. Staff very helpful and friendly. On the whole a 'boutique' hotel we would definitely recemmend and would stay again.

This holiday-flat is, as stated in the description, located on the first floor of a house on a main road, very small but every corner is taken advantage of so that everything could be found easily and nothing was missing. It was extremely clean, tastefully furnished and the heating could be regulated easily and worked well. The flat itself is not facing the main-road but the back and the park, which makes it much quieter than expected. The bed is very comfortable in a bedroom with two windows, the bathroom very light in white/black with a big shower, fluffy towels and a window. The tiny kitchen contains everything you could wish for and the welcome basket with biscuits/crisps/popcorn plus drinks and milk in the fridge makes it great even if you arrive late at night. The location could not be better....from the entrance door only steps to the entrance of the Promenade Park, 2 minutes away from The Hythe with the old barges on the banks of the river Chelmer, two houses next to the cute Maldon Museum in the Park, through the park you can get to the Salt Marshes Path or Coastal Path / Blackwater within minutes. The Mill Road leads directly onto High Street with many restaurants, shops and places of historical interest. Information about that and activities can be picked up at the tourist information center - very helpful!

Visited for a local wedding, the communication from the hosts was fantastic with all the arrival information we needed. The house was in a gorgeous setting and it was modern, decorated lovely and immaculate. It was really lovely that the hosts left tea, coffee and milk for a morning cuppa and there was also coffee pods. It was well equipped. I couldn’t recommend this place more and the value for money in comparison to others we had seen before we booked was fantastic. I would highly recommend staying here. Thank you for a lovely stay, should we need a place to stay in the area again we won’t hesitate to rebook your stunning home.

Maldon had a lovely old fashioned high street with some individual shops rather than the chain shops. Some lovely pubs and places to eat. Promenade Park was worth a visit, great if you have kids as lots going on there. Lovely walks along the estuary.

An attractive and interesting historic town.

An attractive and interesting historic town. Enjoyed visits to Northey Island, Burnham, and Heybridge Basin, plus walks along the Chelmer Navigation and visit to Museum of Power. All easily accessible by bus.

Lovely town.

Lovely town. You have plenty of shops, cafés and restaurants. We particularly liked the Solero Lounge. Everyone in the shops and eateries was pleasant and friendly. We loved Hythe quay. We booked a trip round the river Blackwater on a Thames Barge. It was a cold morning but we still enjoyed it.

A lovely historic town.

A lovely historic town. Enjoyed walking along the promenade looking at the historic barges. Also enjoyed walking over the causeway to Northey Island. Several interesting places nearby - particularly rated Stow Maries Great War Aerodrome, boat trip on the Chelmer and Blackwater Navigation

We liked walks around the Blackwater River.

We liked walks around the Blackwater River. Maldon was easy to walk around and leaving the car parked up the whole time we were there was useful. The town was clean and people friendly. A nice relaxed feel to the place. We ate at the Queens Head PH which was a couple of minutes walk from our accomodation and was on the Blackwater River with nice views.

Superb place for a short stay - lots of history, lots of...

Superb place for a short stay - lots of history, lots of individualistic shops and a wide range of restaurants and cafes. Head down to the quay for a sense of its maritime past and maybe go for a two-hour walk to and around Northey Island, linked by a causeway. Music events throughout the summer in the Promenade Park ranging from Ibiza to Soul to 40s nights.

The hoover lines!! Honestly the place was just fab. The decor, the comfort, the small details, the flowers outside the front door. Everything had been thought of. Barbara was soooo flexible in meeting us for the keys. We were much later than expected due to delayed flights and traffic but it was never a problem. Thank you so much for being such great hosts. And of course fish on the quay topped it all off. The town of Maldon itself is also lovely to stroll around.

A very very nice hotel looks good on the outside but when you go in it’s blows your mind away at the quality you’re getting for the price you pay. It was like walking in to a top London hotel it was stunning the staff were brilliant.we had breakfast it started with a warm welcome from the staff and a very nice breakfast to follow.check out was easy and quick with an email receipt been sent though straight away.A-big thank-you to all staff .

I loved my stay in Primrose Lodge. Lovely quiet cul de sac in woodland setting. Everything you need, so modern & spacious. Bed was so comfy. Shower was divine. Wish I had extra time to enjoy apartment more. The interior design was beautiful. If I could bring Primrose Lodge with me to Ireland & live in it I would. Susan was so helpful too. Loved my stay in Maldon, its fab here🩷

Lovely boutique hotel in the heart of Maldon. The whole experience was excellent, from the surprise of a 4 poster bed, an excellent evening meal to a breakfast that set us up for the day - including a proper morning coffee! All the staff we met were just great.
