Amazing couple of days away, so peaceful. In a great location. Had everything you would need for a stay and lovely and clean. Only a 5-10 minute walk from the town where you will find a local shop and some pubs. Locals are welcoming and friendly. We will definitely be back.

The building we stayed in was beautiful and the room was spectacular! Such an amazing place to stay. Our hosts were friendly welcoming and brilliant basically. And we would love to come again. This is character inn in the centre of Middleham. Has a lively atmosphere, with a good mix of people, without any posh tossers. Food was tasty and not expensive. Best thing about it was the staff who were truly exceptional. The cook prepared us something outside of regular hours, the barman offered to come in early to prepare breakfast if we needed an early start, and the floor manager was always ready to help. Prices were excellent. I’ve often paid more for less. We stayed three nights and every morning we watched horses and riders going through town. Small town charm, with Yorkshire hospitality. Thank you all!

We loved staying here, the village was beautiful and the pub amazing! Food was outstanding! Our room was fab, absolutely no complaints. The owner and her team could not have been nicer, especially when we thought we might not make it home due to a bad storm. Stayed overnight on New Years Eve. Absolutely delicious meal in the pub, very high quality. Pub was busy with a good atmosphere. Room was recently renovated and was lovely. Comfy bed, clean room and good facilities. Breakfast was good, served by a lovely friendly lady. Can't fault anything.

This spot is a little gem of a find! We enjoyed our stay so much and felt pampered by the staff and facilities the entire time. Such a beautiful surroundings and grounds. We enjoyed our stay very much---would highly recommend!

Only an overnight stay but in a short walk round we found many places of interest and surrounding area is beautiful. We would like to revisit to go round Richard III castle and see the Forbidden Corner.

Beautiful views and walks Friendly people Great pubs And got to see lots of race horses I would highly recommend the Coverbridge Inn that you can walk along the river to probably about 2 miles away. This pub is friendly and a traditional pub with great ales and delicious home cooked food

Picturesque little market village with the added interest of several race horse stables in the location. A walk up to the gallops early in the morning to watch the horses train is definitely worthwhile, as is a visit to the medieval castle.

Visited The Forbidden Corner which was great fun.

Visited The Forbidden Corner which was great fun. We had a light lunch at the cafe on site, which was nicely presented. Evening meal was taken at the Three Horseshoes which was about a 15 minute drive away. Called in at Aysgarth Waterfalls on the way home the following day. The Forbidden Corner was very busy as it was the school holidays, however as visits are timed, I think this helps when planning a visit.

Everything was wonderful. Vicky is the perfect host, friendly and attentive, but never intrusive. Delightful National Trust farmhouse in a beautiful setting looking across the valley to the Gallops above Middleham. Very large oak-paneled 17th century bedroom as per the photos, but with mod cons (smart modern bathroom, TV, wifi). Comfortable bed. Fantastic breakfasts that set us up for walking/mountain biking each day. They also have a very elegant self-catering apartment that we had a quick look at on our departure morning.

We stayed here for the weekend to celebrate my birthday and it was absolutely beautiful. The whole cottage is stunning, fresh, clean and has a really cosy feel. The beds are really comfortable and the linen and towels are great quality. The village of Middleham is so pretty with some nice little pubs, convenience store and fish and chip shop. It's a perfect place to stay if like us you want to visit the amazing waterfalls and stunning villages close by. we will definitely return. Thankyou

Gorgeous cosy cottage in a lovely village. Extremely well equipped & comfortable, lots of little extras had been thought about. The cottage was decorated for Christmas & we had a nice festive surprise on arrival. Middleham has 3 great real ale pubs & friendly welcoming locals.
