Loved the outlook from room.

Loved the outlook from room. Although lake wasn’t quite as near as expected. Loved the geese especially flying in in the morning. Didn’t stay long but enjoyed afternoon walk around Newbury with coffee and cake in tearoom on canal side.

This is a very nice hotel with very pleasant staff.

This is a very nice hotel with very pleasant staff. The rooms are spacious and a good size. Everywhere is very clean. Breakfast has very good quality food. The reason we gave it a fair is that the shower was faulty. We couldn't turn the temperature down and the water was boiling hot so we were unable to shower for our journey home.

The friendly staff at this hotel made our stay perfect.

The friendly staff at this hotel made our stay perfect. The hotel bar and facilities were excellent. I am now arranging a large party to stay here next year and enjoy the lovely hotel and well kept grounds. It was a joy to sit on the patio at the sports bar and enjoy the view if the grounds and lake. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff always checking your needs were Met. Can’t wait for our next visit.

Newbury is surprisingly good for shopping we didn't get around half the shops..if only we had more time ..we spent time at Highclere Castle famous for the TV programme Downton Abbey quite a few surprises and lovely gardens again, it would have been nice to have more time to see the Horse racing and waterfall. If only I had booked for a few days.

I was staying overnight as part of a 2 day race meeting, 100 miles from home, Coincidentally, my visit was met by a piece of news that had grabbed the nation's attention. A model of Paddington Bear had recently been stolen by 2 misguided characters but happily had been found and restored to its location just a day or two earlier, I was encouraged by my wife to go and grab a photo. He is perched on a bench in a pedestrianised street near the River Kennet crossing of Bartholomew St. The town mid Saturday was very lively and pleasant and Paddington had his share of well wishers.

A wonderful little town, very walkable, and close to many other sites like Donnington Castle and Highclere Castle that offers a fabulous tour. There’s a nice Farmer’s Market on the weekends, many shops, a Tesco nearby, and others a little further away…many choices.

I loved everything about the property. It’s in a lovely rural location with wonderful views but it’s also a short drive to Newbury town centre. Helena was very friendly. She had provided some lovely handwritten notes about the room. Everything was of such good quality. It’s quiet and comfortable and had everything I needed for my short stay. I was impressed with the generous array of Pukka (my favourite) teabags that were available. I was so glad I chose The Garden Studio. It really was a special place to stay.

Stayed at hotel as visiting Newbury races, the hotel is on the course, the staff were excellent, facilities fine for 2 nights, big bed, breakfast decent enough for the price. Food in the evening basic but filling enough. If you're visiting Newbury races and don't fancying travelling in the morning to or evening from the course this ideal, it does of course bump the price up on racedays but of course that is to be expected.

We held a large family meal at the Regency Park Hotel and it was brilliant. They gave us a large private dining room which was gorgeous, and most of us stayed over and had a great dinner, swim and breakfast. We had people coming from all over the country and the hotel is really lovely and so easy to get to - everyone was happy! Thank you so much to Kathryn in events and James who couldn't have been more helpful.

Right in the middle of Newbury with free parking which is an absolute bonus. Huge hotel with lots of rooms and no lift (not a problem unless you can’t take the stairs). Room was clean and had everything we needed for a nights stay. WiFi worked fine, kettle in the room and bed was comfortable. Breakfast was basic hot and cold options, but again everything you need to start the day and fill you up!
