The location was perfect.. we stayed in the old stables, very quirky room, the breakfast was fabulous.. I travelled over from Spain to have a weekend with my gal pals... it was Dickens day in Olney... wonderful place.. would definitely return to the Bull Hotel.

Hotel retained an historic ambience. Breakfast was freshly cooked to order as was the dinner. As a family owned and managed hotel it retains the elements of attention that can be lost in this impersonal digital age and all the staff, including the breakfast chef, were very friendly and helpful in a genuinely concerned way....rather a delight, these days. I was very relaxed and thoroughly enjoyed my stay.

Olney has that lovely 'market town' feel to it.

Olney has that lovely 'market town' feel to it. A very long High Street with ample parking either side of the road and also plenty of car parks dotted around too. I was only there for an afternoon but would have enjoyed staying loner.

We had a lovely warm welcome and all staff were lovely & friendly. We were shown to our room by a lovely lady not sure if she was the owner or general manager but she was very attentive. We stayed at number 12 the stables and we were really impressed with the cleanliness of the room the bathroom especially. Really comfy beds and pillows which was a bonus. We stayed after being at silverstone for the F1 on the Sunday so we arrived later in the evening and they had stopped serving dinner which was fine as there were a chip shop open opposite and the hotel was kind enough to supply us with some plates and cutlery so we could eat in our room. The breakfast was delicious and good quality cooked fresh to order. We found the hotel great value for money, we will definitely be back. Thanks for a lovely stay even though it was short

Olney is a lovely old town / village , with lots of lovely...

Olney is a lovely old town / village , with lots of lovely old buildings to look at , charming people who have all the time in the world to talk to you, lovely places to eat , drink , independent to shop at , lots of traditions like the Olney pan cake ran and lots of quiet spaces to reflect on life . An ideal place to get away the hustle and bustle and maybe take up drawing and painting if that’s your thing ?

Olney has a village feel about it in every respect.

Olney has a village feel about it in every respect. Nice friendly people and plenty of varied places to eat and drink. Only downside is the traffic, which is busy and continuous on the"A" Road that forms the main street.

Just a lovely small market village with a few very nice pubs...

Just a lovely small market village with a few very nice pubs and restaurants, lovely courtyards and coffee shops and a handful of local artisan shops for browsing. Just lovely for a two day break - not much to do but perfect if you just want some peace and chill in a relaxed & sleepy environment.

I purposely chose self-catering as it feels more like a home from home break for all of us. The kitchen is fully stocked with appliances and cleverly fits half sized dishwasher, washing machine, fridge etc into a cottage-sized space. There were plenty of cupboards too if you did want to store your own provisions. If you don't, there are so many options in Olney for eating out. We tended to sort our own breakfast/lunch out (plenty of local/express supermarkets nearby) and eat out in the evenings.

Beautifully presented and decorated, great location in the centre of Olney. A sympathetic mix of old and modern whilst retaining the charm. Our room had character and the roll top bath was a key feature! Overall, a quite simply lovely property x
