An old seaside town with the best harbour in the south east, plenty of walking though the mainly Regency style town, with several bijou cafes & restaurants. Fast links into London by rail & car make it ideal for visiting historic Thanet and especially the Spitfire & Hurricane museum, RAF Manston museum as well. Not as close as Dover/Folkestone to France but on a clear day it can be seen, many artists loved the sea panoramas including Turner.

Ramsgate is a lovely place ,although some areas suffering from the effects of many seaside locations. We visited the Ramsgate Tunnels which wre amazing. The main beach is clean and ideally sandy for families. Lovely walks to the Westclff and Eastcliff ,also to Broadstairs. Really good Loop bus service around the whole of Thanet. Many and varied eateries.

Ramsgate is a very interesting place to visit with the Harbour area so'trendy' What a selection of very nice restauranrs , coffee houses, etc. There is a very nice, clean, sandy beach - when it is 'HOT' !! At night, the various coloured lights thorughout the harbour area gives that area such a fascinating atmosphere. Yes, a lovely place to visit.

Fairly quiet, enough to keep us interested.

Fairly quiet, enough to keep us interested. Loved the Pavilion and the new bar/restaurant nearby on the beach. There was a lovely coastal path walk to Broadstairs. We appreciated the quiet whereas Broadstairs was rammed!

Ramsgate is a delightful seaside town.

Ramsgate is a delightful seaside town. The harbour area is fab to wander around, the beach is wide and roomy, plus it was easy to walk along the beach / broadwalk to Broadstairs which is also a gorgeous town to visit (where we watched a band play on the band stand and played crazy golf). A perfect place for a long weekend on the British seaside.

Lovely location, it was a good clifftop walk away from Ramsgate, but in a little historic corner with a couple of pubs for drinking/dining just a stones throw away both with great sea views. You also have breakfast under the pub (the hotel stretches under the road) in a nice room with lovely views.

Everything! Beautiful decor, retro tweaks... Great location - easy access to Ramsgate and Broadstairs on foot. Cute garden but sadly weather was not good enough to use. Lovely treats and message left by the owner. Great communication too!
