It has most of what you would expect from a traditional Yorkshire Dales village and more, with a good mix of old and new. A very traditional inn, down to earth, with a good mix of locals and visitors, sits next to a recently refurbished one, apparently aiming for the higher spending tourists. A central area offers cobbled parking in front of inns and shops. There is still a village green, (with actual local children playing), a post office, a general store and a mix of other outlets for arts/crafts, gifts, ice-cream etc. Very easy access to both the gentler riverside aspects and the wilder moorlands of the area.Guest review byDavidUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Short stay this time but Reeth is my favourite place to visit which I have done every year for almost 40 yrs. have sampled many different B& B’s, hotels and self catering accommodation in the area all had their own charm. Reeth is a stunning village with cafes, couple of pubs serving excellent food, a handful of shops and a fantastic ice cream parlour. The village of Reeth is a delightful part of the upper Dales...
The village of Reeth is a delightful part of the upper Dales. We visited the CB pub on the way in from Scotland, highly recommend a pint there. We also visited the Tarn Hill pub, unfortunately not such a great experience. We also went to the Thursday evening working sheep dog show near Hawes- an ABSOLUTE MUST for those who are interested.
