We were pleasantly surprised that despite the old building, the hotel was very warm and cosy inside. The rooms are very clean and well heated! New windows held the design of the old ones. Staff made you feel at home! Breakfast is delicious and more than enough! The location may seem remote from the town, but it is an advantage because the scenery is breathtaking. And when the weather is fine, you can sit outside and enjoy the views.

Although this was a very last minute, one night only booking, and we didn't get to experience the full package right down to breakfast or dinner, the hotel 150% met our expectations. Room was spacious, clean with modern, also very clean bathroom. Couldn't have asked for better. Will definitely book The Ship Inn again should we find ourselves in the area.

Great hotel. Staff friendly and helpful. The room was clean, tidy and warm, which was great this time of year. Beds comfortable. Tea, coffee, biscuits in room.. Easy to locate from road. Food amazing, good selection. Would definitely recommend and will be returning.

Yhe stay at the Bay Hotel has been one of the best experiences with hotels we have had in a long time. The room was lovely. Having a fridge was a huge plus, separate seating area where we could chat and play cards was lovely, could do with a small coffee table but that would just be a bonus. The breakfast was very nice and it didn't hurt that they knew what we wanted at day 3 and the potato scone... ohhh the potato scone! I've had to find a recipe for it as my daughter loves it just as much, if not more than me! My daughter felt safe and comfortable during our stay and that is saying alot. She doesn't like new spaces but we felt so welcomed and at home! To the server at breakfast, "Thank you for the understanding and the willingness to make things work for my daughter. Thank you!" As we also had dinner at the restaurant one evening, I highly recommend the Lasagne!

From the moment we arrived the young lady at reception treated us like family. The heating wasn’t on in the room so she organised a space heater. My daughter and I were visiting my mum. The property was so homely and beautifully decorated and styled.

Not a lot going on in Ringford but it's a good base that's...

Not a lot going on in Ringford but it's a good base that's near a few villages/towns with plenty going on! Lots of walks nearby and beaches not far either. A short 15 to 20 min drive in any direction and you can pretty much find whatever you are looking for be it food, drink, shops or walking!

So peaceful.

So peaceful. The other lodges seem very close, but you can’t hear anything in your own one. Hot tub was bliss, worth noting it’s around a 10min drive to any shops / restaurants, so stock up for the stay, you won’t want to leave once you get there!

Lovely area, we went between christmas and new year so...

Lovely area, we went between christmas and new year so didn't anticipate a lot of facilities/attractions/activities would be open. If they had been I am sure we could have spent more time in the area quite happily.

The accommodation was exceptional, fitted our requirements...

The accommodation was exceptional, fitted our requirements beautifully. Location was excellent. We went with another couple and sat outside for drinks in gorgeous weather, enjoyed watching Red Kites fly above us. Ate locally, and plenty to do in the surrounding area.
