Very atmospheric place to stay, with lovely, cosy interior! The cottage has old (in a good way!) and traditional feel to it, with all of the modern comforts you might need. We stayed there in October, with the outside temperatures on the lower side, and inside was so lovely and warm! Additionally, working log burner added extra warmth and cosiness in the living area. Kim, whom I’ve liaised with regarding the cottage, was very nice and helpful throughout. The location was also fantastic, only short drive to Edinburgh and beautiful Pentland Hills reserve. I’d definitely visit again!

The hotel site is an absolute marvel! Plenty to do and to see. The buildings, the waterfalls, the water mill, etc. Just awesome!

The service offered by the owner and family impeccable. We arrived late due to flight issues and they couldn't have been more accommodating with our late check in... due to various reasons they also helped us with transport issues whilst we were in town and they made me the best breakfast I had in a very long time.

In the run up to my stay, communication was friendly and super efficient. The warmest of welcomes on arrival. The room and bathroom were pristine and really well set up, plenty of space and a VERY comfortable bed. Lots of helpful information. A great B&B run by Charles and Jane, folk really well suited to it.
