If you are looking for a rustic country inn with all the modern convieniences, look no futher than the Tyr Winch. The staff was attentive and welcoming even though they were very busy (they were hosting an anniversary party upstairs) and we arrived at the dinner rush. The food is fantastic (I recommend the Chicken Helwir) and so are the drinks. They have a variety of local beers and ciders on tap along with a full bar and wine options too. The rooms are comfortable and newly updated, but still maintain a rustic charm with the clever use of some wooden accents. The bathroom by contrast was very clean and modern with a large shower and a towel warmer.

Location and facilities. I went to Comic Con Wales at the ICC and receptionist Katy was brilliant with me, hats off to her (I even got a breakfast voucher). Loved my room, with plenty of space.

It's awesome to stay here. Met couples that have come here again and again even when they have engagement 2 hours drives away. We will surely come back for the ambience, neatness, food and friendly staff members. My husband wished they had a fitness room, no matter how small.

Very new and perfectly equipped hotel with everything you need and conveniently located. Rooms are really good, Bathroom is nice and big and the bed super comfortable. Breakfast was great and the team very friendly.

    Room was cancelled at 2.30pm and was offered a single room...

    Room was cancelled at 2.30pm and was offered a single room with refund of original payment. We took this as it was late to find somewhere at short notice with Golf Open in this area. When we got to hotel their was no reception just a key in a box. The single room had dirty bed linen and room was dirty. We could only lay on top of the bed as we would not sleep in an un made bed. Guy who own the property told us that a third party are responsible for letting rooms and its nothing to do with him. Later we felt he was the one who did not run the hotel efficiently.
