we really did enjoy our stay at this cosy place in Romsey and were a little bit sad that we just stayed one night. The room was very clean, comfortable and well equipped & the place is very well located but most of all Graham & Kay are very friendly and helpful and are truly great hosts!:) The breakfast (Muffin with avocado, ham & egg) for itself is extraordinary and 10 points worth by itself ;) Thank you very much!

Romsey is a fine provincial town. Great atmosphere and clearly enjoyed by the locals. Beautiful town architecture topped by the outstanding abbey. Volunteer staff in the church were friendly and knowledgeable. Walks around the town and along the various rivers very picturesque.

Romsey is a lovely village with Waitrose and Aldi. Plenty of coffee shops. However as we live in Spain we were shocked at the prices. For the price of two coffees and pastries we can buy a 3 course meal. I would recommend visiting Lyndhurst and Winchester.

Romsey Abbey very interesting, with a helpful gentleman who talked us through the history. Don't miss the Sir Harold Hillier Gardens just outside Romsey. One of the very best and most varied gardens we have ever visited.

Quiet scenic town with historic church -open during the day.

Quiet scenic town with historic church -open during the day. The Hillier garden is massive but a must for serious gardeners. Mottisfont NT fairly small. Rose collection a must in June. Cafe overcrowded and queue for food. We ate at the Bear and Staff instead - standard Pub Grub. Also at the Cromwell Arms in Romsey. Comfortable restaurant and more varied menu choice. Good.

We were met by Julia, who is very friendly, and gave us a lot of help and information about our accommodation and the arrangements for breakfast. We had a very pleasant comfortable room which was equipped with everything we needed and attractively furnished. We both slept well in the comfortable bed. We enjoyed a very good breakfast with cereals fresh fruit and toast. We very much enjoyed our one night in Richmond Lane Guest House, and will recommend it to anyone looking for a Guest House in Romsey area

The location was perfect for us as only 6 mins from the centre of Romsey, a lovely and vibrant market town. The accommodation, facilities and breakfast were amazing and Avril is a perfect host, very friendly without being too intrusive. She went above and beyond to make our stay so enjoyable from the offer to use the bath in another (vacated) room to the patience and kindness shown when our car wouldn’t start!❤️
