Good transport links if no car, i.e. regular buses for local trips or nearby towns including Hastings and Tunbridge and Railway Station (Hastings an hour away by train). Our visit was far too short and have vowed to return soon! The Royal Spa Hotel proved to be a perfect place to stay. Spotless, spacious and very welcoming kind and helpful team. Delicious breakfast. The purpose of our trip was to attend the wonderful Anne Boleyn Musical at Hever Castle. The people we encountered in and around Tunbridge Wells were...
The people we encountered in and around Tunbridge Wells were without exception very pleasant and helpful, There are very interesting parts of Tunbridge Wells, especially Mount Ephraim are and it is convenient for a number of National Trust properties and other attractions including vineyards. Not to the standards that I expected. The last time I stayed at the Spa was app 9 years ago. The property decor has deteriorated ever so much. The staff in all areas were perfect and the food we ordered in the evening in the Orangery was perfect. Great Chef. Two weeks before staying at The Spa hotel I was at The Royal Wells Hotel. Good selection of different food at breakfast. Close to A21 and M25 and direct route into London. It just took us an hour to drive from our home in East London to the hotel where friends of ours were staying for a few nights .
