We love this place and it's only a short drive to Blackpool...

We love this place and it's only a short drive to Blackpool if you like a more busier seaside place to visit but everywhere is quiet in February! Saint Anne's is a hidden gem, we stumbled upon the place a few years ago and love it there. The promenade is beautiful, clean and has plenty of benches to sit down and take in the sea view. Lots of cafes, ice cream stalls, fish n chips stalls etc. There are beautiful garden to walk through with hidden gems like kids outdoor paddling pools, water fountains, swans on the little wiggly mini lake and plenty of parking on the seafront along with toilets and shower/changing facilities after the kids have played in the pools. I love the fact they have free fresh drinking water stations where you can too up your water bottle of for your dog to get a drink. There is a mini train to ride on, mini golf and play areas for the kids. They have an old train carrige converted into a hot and cold food cafe with seating outside around the carriage. A mini boating lake for remote control boats, something for everyone of ill ages. We love the little pier, it has the old fashioned games in and slot machines and kids love it in there. There is a little square of shops you can visit with a wonderful bakery, charity shops, chip shops a little Tesco's and a Aldi and Sainsbury's nearby. There is also a Toby Carvery on the seafront and more arcades. It really is a place worth visiting.

A lovely place to stay, very clean and tidy, no dog poop found anywhere or litter. A lot of the shops were disabled friendly and I could gain access easily in my mobility scooter. Loved walking along the promenade with our little French and everyone was so friendly. So many benches to sit on along the promenade and even outside the main shopping area. Very well looked after place and a pleasure to visit since we discovered Saint Anne's last year after a short stay in Blackpool. Sorry Blackpool but now we have discovered Saint Annes, we will never stay in Blackpool again.

A very quiet place.

A very quiet place. In fine weather, there is a lovely walk along the front to Lytham and the windmill I would recommend. St Annes has a nice beach but the sea is far out. There are quite a few nice restaurants on the Square or just off it - Thai, Greek, Indian, Italian - we went to one on the main street and also a Turkish restaurant and Toby (all you-can-eat-breakfast £5 before 11am) on the seafront. There are also two real ale microbars - No 10 and Cask and Keg - in town. The Ashton Gardens are well worth a look and the Pavilion Cafe is lovely. The Peace and Happiness Garden next to the Pier has a statue of late St Annes resident, comedian Les Dawson, for fans. However the Pier isn't worth a look unless you like amusements as you cannot actually walk on it!

Having sold my home I needed something home from home. After staying in a few other hotels, this villa was everything and more.
