Spotlessly Clean, immaculately presented and cosy. Would stay again in a heartbeat If I was to offer one piece of advice, it would be to upgrade the mattress to a thicker/more luxurious offering. It seemed quite basic/cheap but I still slept well. Cannot fault anything else A++++

    Very nice, clean city.

    Very nice, clean city. The flower displays along the main streets were well kept and very colourful! The Victoria Gardens are a delight with lovely bird houses and a glasshouse. Great for a strolling and a quiet relaxing sit down. Good selection of Bars and Restaurants with very fair prices.

    J13 on the M6 is a halfway house on our trips from Scotland to London. excellent modern clean accessible rooms, first class buffet breakfast in the hotel and a good restaurant across the car park, have stayed many times, and will again. All the staff are really friendly and helpful

    Some interesting Historical buildings most notably the Witherspoon's which was a lovely old cinema and beautiful inside. Stafford's new history centre and a traditional pub called the Shrewsbury Arms. Great local Ales and a good old crusty cheese and onion cob. Friendly and informative landlord. No shortage of take aways and we did enjoy a nice Nepalese meal. Local Castle although stated open at 11am but was shut for school trip, castle grounds and local church were interesting to walk around.

    Great town centre, plenty of good shops, great pubs and good night life, nice places to eat, theatre close by too. Train station close, a great play to sit in and relax or to use the play area if you have kids

    The town is a lovely historic area ,I travelled from...

    The town is a lovely historic area ,I travelled from Shrewsbury and there is similar. The big difference is Shrewsbury is Shabby Sheik ,and Stafford is Shabby ,at night it is dead to dead a little frightening even for a bloke . I walked all through the town and only Wetherspoon's was alive . I didnt like the kids with no lights wheelying the electric bikes through town . Can we either give them some lights or arrest them I will spend more time exploring the town and its museums next time

    A very short stay.

    A very short stay. Wondered around the area, market place etc saw and was impressed with the Guildhall and High House. Unfortunately not enough time to visit other sites due to time allotted to attend special function.

    The hotel is in the town centre, 2 minutes to restaurants, pubs, shops and to explore historic Stafford town. It is a very old hotel with its own history and lots of unique features. A plus if you like traditional. Beds are comfortable, rooms are cosy. Food is good. We had one evening meal, our steaks were cooked to perfection. Also good breakfast choices. Staff are friendly and helpful.

    Going to stay at the Halday is like going to see an old friend. Warm welcome, comfy room, pleasant company. Really enjoyed our breakfasts. Highly recommend, if we go back to Staffordshire, we will definitely book to stay again. Thank you for a lovely stay.
