We stayed one night and actually tried to book another night but the property was fully booked. We visited the Wallace Monument and Stirling Castle but ran out of time. We'd happily return again and take a bit more time to look around.

Stirling is a beautiful historic town with many fun sites to see. I needed more time to see them all. Stirling Castle should have a shuttle service bringing people up to the castle, Very limited parking and not conducive if you have a person with walking issues. Plan ahead. Maybe go later in the afternoon when there are less people.

We only had half a day in Stirling and could have stayed much longer. Everyone in my family enjoyed the castle very much. My children actually asked to extend the time we had budgeted to see the castle, which is the first place this happened. We would have loved to spend more time seeing the Wallace Monument and the town of Stirling, but unfortunately had to leave.

Sterling is a fantastic place for a couple of days.

Sterling is a fantastic place for a couple of days. The castle is very impressive. They have free guided tours on the hour that are well worth the time invested. Along with the castle finding the Old Bridge, the Wallace Monument and out to Bannockburn for a different view. Holy Rude Church and Cemetery are quite fascinating. A day trip to Falkirk to see the Kelpies and the Forth Bridges is a must if you have an engineer along with you. We greatly enjoyed the food and vibe at The Portcullis right at the food of the Castle.

    Amazing!

Amazing! A must see place full of history and surrounded by beautiful countryside. Didn’t want to leave. Stunning views from the top of Stirling Castle, Stirling Jail’s Observation Tower and the William Wallace Monument. Free shuttle bus every few minutes up to the monument and free to view from the outside. All historical attractions worth a visit for the view as well as the history. Stirling old town available to see on foot. Easy distance from restaurants and pubs too. Lots of nice restaurants to choose from. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in Scotland. Allow 3-4 days and allow 2.5 hours for Stirling Castle.

The castle is an absolute must. We spent 6 hours there and enjoyed every minute. Do take the guided tour that is included in the entrance price. Get there early if you want to park at the castle although it’s not so far from the city centre - just uphill!!!

The apartment was lovely and bright, really comfortable and clean and very well presented. It had everything we needed for the 2 night stay, the washer was a great bonus and all the little touches were appreciated. The location for Stirling City Centre and the castle were perfect for walking and the nearby supermarkets were great. The parking spot was brilliant for a city location and meant we could leave it safely during our stay. Diane our host was great with communication and was super helpful if we needed anything.

Ideally located near Stirling Castle and near centre of town, this Hotel (previously a school) could be great but it is very old fashioned. The first entrance off the street does not give a good impression with worn carpet, patchy walls and steep stairs. A sign to direct you to the main entrance would be a simple addition and give guests a much better view of the beautiful old building and grand entrance. We received a lovely welcome pack with wine, shortbread and other treats.

A lovely stay at Broomhall castle. The room was spacious, there was hot water in the shower (once in Italy we encountered a hotel with very little hot water...), and the views from the room were exceptional. The castle is a 19th Century Baronial mansion, and it does have that feel to it. The restaurant had delicious food and the staff were courteous and polite. Not far from Stirling, so if you are travelling by car, I would definitely recommend staying here.

A nice old hotel with plenty of character. While the room was a bit dated, it was a decent size and comfortable. The location is excellent, just a short walk from Stirling Castle, making it ideal for sightseeing. The food was good, and the staff were very friendly and welcoming. Onsite parking is also available. Overall, a pleasant stay.
