The inn looks like it's out of an agatha Christie novel which is amazing and very authentic, the music night was so lively, also the room is cozy and clean with a very comfortable bed and clean bathroom. The room was so clean and smelled so good when i checked in. Stockport is a great place to walk around as a tourist because it is very old with amazing buildings like you're walking in a medieval town and although it is not close to city centre that was okay for me as a i loved a bus ride to see tge city i mean I'm not here just to shop.

The Annexe is a beautifully decorated and very comfortable apartment. It has everything you could wish for! A super comfortable bed, great shower and is incredibly clean. To be fair it isn't in Stockport.

To be fair it isn't in Stockport. It in a beautiful rural location with fabulous views of green countryside with a charming vista of Manchester in the distance. Yes it was! In my view ! Lol. For us it was a little out of the way mainly because I'm increasingly stressed by driving but in normal circumstances it's nice and quiet. We ate in Glossop at Napolis which was fab last time we went but this time it wasn't great! Had a great ready meal from sainsbury in New Mills! Lots of good walks and paths. Binge Watched Riot women on the big screen! We don't have a TV.

Stockport´s location in a ravine with a Victorian viaduct...

Stockport´s location in a ravine with a Victorian viaduct towering overhead makes for a very unusual and intriguing town. Also most interesting are the timber frame houses one finds from Tudor times. Lots of pubs and not generic ones either.

My stay in Stockport was brief as I was at a tango workshop at Bramhall and needed an overnight stay. The accommodation at Alma Lodge was comfortable and very quiet. It also had good parking facilities.

There are some good coffee shops and there is a market which is interesting. The viaduct is impressive and now is well lit at night. Christmas lights better than Ipswich. The new landscaping around the bus station is very well done with play items for children. The air raid shelter museum very interesting to visit and the Hat museum.

Room very clean and a good size.

Room very clean and a good size. The walk in shower was great ( no clambering into a bath). Staff very friendly and breakfast was help yourself which we find suits us perfectly. Only downsided was no complimentary biscuits in room and the duvet only just reached the edge of the very nice and comfy King Size bed, so it was a bit drafty at times at night.

I grew up in Stockport and support the towns football team. It's my home town. I know where to go. I love it but it ain't no tourist trap! But, its a great town with good pubs and very friendly local people and it has superb national and local transport links.

The Annexe is absolutely fantastic and it far exceeded our expectations. It is really stylish, comfortable and has everything you could possibly need. Alison, the owner, is really lovely and helpful. You have the option to ask for help if needed or have a completely contactless stay, if you prefer. We’ve never stayed in private accommodation before as we always book hotels, but this stay has changed our minds. We’ll definitely book again next time we stay in Stockport.

The rooms had everything we could need on a trip away. The room was very, very clean, plus we always had a very comfortable night sleep. The shower was absolutely perfect. Most importantly, the staff were very attentive and very professional. Every need we needed, they would always cater to, including providing taxi's. We stayed at this hotel 25th to 27th May 2024 and every part of our stay was well worth the money we paid. A fantastic place to stay.

Comfortable room, all you need. Huge breakfast selection. Next to train station and Sainsbury's. I stayed here while visiting friends in Stockport. As a pregnant woman I really appreciated the choice of pillows - and there was a pillow menu with more!

Location is very useful for central and old Stockport. There's lots of convenient, cheap parking nearby. Access (including lift) was easy. Nice bathroom and cooking area and reasonable seating. The staff were responsive and worked hard.
