Unlike some of the posts I’ve read in other places, I found the Crown hotel to be clean, inviting and downright classic! The staff were very friendly and consistently making sure I was comfortable. The newly opened Indian restaurant “chilli dum” was fantastic and soon it’s going to be the new hot spot of stone. I will definitely stay there when I come back!

Such a special place – very different from the typical business hotels I usually stay at. Jose and Maria were wonderful hosts, and it’s within easy walking distance of both the town center and a supermarket. I would definitely stay here again.

It was very clean and comfortable and had everything that you wanted. The kitchen and bathroom were good. The bed was comfy and it was nice and quiet at night. There is off-road driveway parking right outside the property so your car felt secure and it made it easy for unloading and loading. It is in a good location for getting to other places. I was attending an event at Stoke-on-Trent which is about twenty minutes drive away. There is nice countryside and walks nearby. The accommodation is pet friendly. I found it to be a great place to stay and have already booked it again for my next trip for attending an event in Stafford. Highly recommend.

A small market town but unfortunately one of many which has been left with few retail shops Really needs a lift on the High street to draw more people in and maybe a number of cultural events would help achieve this

Requested walk in shower because of age 82 and mobility after booking thought I had only reserved not booked was told walk in shower not available but could use SPA not acceptable on cancelation request was told or even refund of money held on reserve for any damage not refundable as well as 2 breakfasts not the best public relations exercise Ray

Myself and my daughter went to the Crown Wharf pub in Stone...

Myself and my daughter went to the Crown Wharf pub in Stone on Saturday night for a meal. Firstly, they had no record of our 8.30pm booking so we were unable to eat there and although they still had an 8.30 slot available they wouldn’t let us have it. Staff member was very young and just said they weren’t serving any more. We decided to stay for a drink and sat outside the entrance. We were surrounded by groups of middle aged men and women who were either commenting on each other’s appearance or trying to hook up! Although we found some of it amusing we both felt uncomfortable and left after the 1 drink. We found that the majority of eateries in Stone stopped serving at 9.30pm at the latest. Quite disappointed really.

This was an overnight stay. Staff; Excellent and friendly Room; Excellent. Breakfast; Excellent Bar area; Excellent The main thing that struck me was the inside of the building. It was amazing and well-decorated. Add to this, beautiful gardens.

A town full of character Canal and the canalside.

A town full of character Canal and the canalside. Main street pedestrianised, busy, and a varìety of shops. And, it's accessible by train, though the station is about a mile out of town. I like it!

Perfect location for my customer meeting in Uttoxeter. Great location for the whole of that area of Staffordshire, and not far off the motorway. Stayed in the studio which was both spacious and clean. Little kitchen with everything you need if staying for a few days. Hosts were fantastic and the breakfast was great. Shame I was only there for the night before disappearing off to my appointment really.
