Nothing not to like here. Exceptionally friendly and helpful staff; good rooms with comfy beds and all the amenities needed; and lovely food in the pub. We had a room in the annex building which was nice and quiet. Free parking in the hotel's car park is an added bonus. Will definitely be back to The Bell soon!

Tewkesbury Abbey was great.

Tewkesbury Abbey was great. We also visited the GWR railway, Sudeley Castle, Snowshill and Croome Manor, and took walks along the river and to The Arrivall. Just exactly the right amount of stuff for a long weekend.

we loved the many Tudor buildings, not least our hotel, the Tudor House; also the splendid church where we attended evensong, which was of a high standard. it was sad to sense that this lovely little town does not seem very prosperous. it was a good location from which to branch out and see other places - Worcester and Gloucester cathedrals, Berkeley Castle etc.

Easy access to city ,only comment would be that we would like to leave our car at the hotel and walk to the city but if we return later, but this is not possible due to the lack of lighting on the drive way to the hotel ,small issue but could make a lot of difference in winter months

Lovely place to visit, The Abbey is a must, a walk around the back streets is recommended, so many old houses & buildings, I don't think any of them had a proper even roof , The walk along the river is lovely, some very nice coffee shops on the way, some over looking the river, so very leisurely, I would say the only downside we found was the amount of traffic on the main road , so make sue to use the crossings.

Having driven past Tewkesbury on the M5 more times than I care to recall, it was chosen as a geographical half way point for a meet up with friends. So impressed, I immediately returned for another visit with my wife. Tewkesbury is perhaps a hidden gem if interested in history. Countless historical and attractive buildings in the main streets; a good Battlefield walk (1471 - War of the Roses) across adjacent fields with information panels throughout and leaflet (£1) from Tourist Information office ; Beautiful Abbey; Riverside walks and pleasant boat trips; Museum and separate Heritage Centre, and a nature park for more walks, on the flood plain. Numerous cafes and places to eat. All above on, or easy walking from the centre itself. We were very impressed. Should have visited before.

We enjoy just wandering around the shops and particularly liked the Abbey. There were a few pubs that we enjoyed visiting as well. Beautiful walks across the river in the Ham, and good information about what we were seeing.

Staff are brilliant. I am a regular solo guest, but they have been equally lovely from my first visit. I am a solo motorcyclist; car park is nice and secure. Drinks are well-priced and although I haven’t eaten there, the food does look good when it comes out. The rooms have really comfortable beds with crisp white linen. Unlimited hot water in the bathrooms. Tewkesbury is a lovely little town. Obviously the Abbey (right over the road), nice high street and walking routes nearby.

Our stay at the Tudor House hotel was exceptional. The rooms were very clean and spacious and the breakfast was delightful. In particular the staff were superb. We were travelling with a small baby and the General Manager James and the night manager (who’s name I didn’t catch) went out of their way to ensure our family was comfortable and had access to everything. They were never too busy to help, it made a huge difference to our stay.

Lovely, comfortable accommodation in an excellent location. All amenities within walking distance. Thoughtful touches by the hosts, such as fluffy towels, plentiful tea, coffee, milk etc. Host was easily contactable. Parking is off-site in a nearby public car park but it's honestly not a big issue. There is also short-term on-street parking at the property for loading and unloading. Tewkesbury town centre is amazing.
