Apart from the cathedral there was not much else .
Apart from the cathedral there was not much else . We had based ourselves in Truro to visit Tresillik National Trust which in spite of being in great location was rather dissappointing having visited Lanhydrock earlier in the day which was superb. There is not huge amount to do or see in Truro.
There is not huge amount to do or see in Truro. We came for the Cathedral, where the services and music are beautiful. Anyone not used to Seagulls in the (very) early morning should bring earplugs. Truro is a good centre for travelling to all destinations in Cornwall. Bus services are good during the day, infrequent after about 6pm but we found them to run exactly as per the timetable. Good views from upstairs. Trains are usually punctual from Penzance but variable from London. Thus, if you are using public transport, this is an excellent central point. Within easy driving distance to pretty much everywhere. So cosy, the 4 poster bed is so comfortable and just what you need after a busy day exploring Cornwall The Lake by the lodge is wonderful with a family of Canadian geese and other wildlife nearby.
